[He looks down at himself, and finds that his clothes have not changed, as they normally do on arrival in Halloween Town.]That's strange. I wonder what's going on

[He jumps at hearing a voice coming back at him from the device. He didn't expect that to actually work.] You mean this isn't...? Where am I, then?

A mansion? That doesn't sound too bad. [He stops and thinks for a moment. Not too bad unless...] Hey, are there any Heartless around here?

I'm not sure how to describe them. They're sort of like shadows. They're dangerous, though ... you'd know them if you saw them.
