A: Hallways

[ Spain wanders the hallways slowly, occasionally stopping to admire the strange artwork lining the walls. It's not something she's used to, but it is lovely, if not, hauntingly beautiful. Care to chat with her about the esthetics? ]

[Spain isn't the only one who's been putting effort into the conservatory as of late. Although Alice hardly meant to interrupt someone else's efforts. She nods in apology, carrying a small basket past as she tries to get to the little area she's been grooming for her flowers.] Goodness, I'm shocked to see someone else working around here! Although it's certainly a pleasant surprise.

[ The older woman turns to the new voice, smiling sweetly at her. ]

Oh, I didn't realise someone else is working on it too...

[Alice isn't the best at smiling or warm conversation, but she's not likely to turn down pleasant company when it's offered to her. Especially here.]

I hadn't either, I thought I was the only one who wanted to put in some effort! It's hardly popular to work, after all. But one can't expect a garden to grow out of ignorance and want.

A garden can never grow if it's left unattended. Constant care must always be given.

[ She continues to clear more of the mess. ]

That's right. Without cultivation, it withers and falls prey to parasites. Much like a child ignored. [She shakes her head, and sits near the area where the tiny flowers will hopefully grow.] Do you have plans for flowers? Or fruit perhaps?

I was thinking tomatoes. And possibly some flowers.

Hmm, posies and forget-me-nots are going in this little spot. I can't imagine growing anything else, I just haven't the skill for larger plants.

Well, first things first, we have to clear the greenhouse of the old, rotting plants before we can grow new ones.

That's true. But I've made little headway as far as clearing things out. And the vines simply keep coming back, no matter how I try to end them.

Perhaps there is a need for more than one pair of hands. Sometimes just one person tending isn't enough.

It's most often that way, though rare that there's more than one set of hands willing to do the work. Maybe between the both of us, we'll tame these wild grounds yet.
