Excuse me while I try to calm myself down for a while.
*takes a deep breath*
*takes a deep breath again*
Okay.
I was checking my friends page and I found these *angels singing in the background* AAA 2008 videos posted by
heldermoita on
arashi_on. So even though I originally intended to spend only 30 minutes in front of the computer, I decided to watch it anyway. I was too excited. Haha. The link is
here.
I saw the cut to the backstage scenes so I checked that out first (because I love backstage stuff--it's so much fun to see what they do before a big event).
I am dancer so I somehow know what it's like when preparing for something big. Our dance group would practice for days, weeks, even months--for two or three dance numbers that would last for about 5 to 7 minutes each. That sometimes doesn't include the time we spend looking for good music, mixing them up, and then coming up with our own choreography.
But if there is one thing that I love about the long, grueling, but very fun process of completing a dance number, is that it's when I learn so much--about myself and about the other dancers. The journey is often better than reaching the part when you ACTUALLY have to perform the dances that you've worked really hard for.
"Backstage" is where you see people as they are. It's where you can see their personalities more, and it's when very tight friendships are formed.
*enough babble about myself*
That's why I just loved watching the Backstage part of Arashi's concert. Hehe.
The whole tine I was watching it, my heart was beating fast and I was even a bit nervous. XD Which is funny, because the boys didn't seem the least bit nervous. I mean, I have not performed in a concert that grand, but I often feel nervous when "the day" is nearing or when "the day" finally comes, you know?
In the recording part, Sho arrived first and I think he was writing rap lyrics or something. I'm not very sure because there were no translations and I don't understand Nihonggo. LOL. There were times when he kept repeating one part of the rap because he doesn't do it right. And it was very entertaining to watch him do it. Haha.
When Aiba arrived, he was very polite and greeted everyone with a bow. Nino looked like he was just passing by (LOL), and Jun looked so kakkoi walking in. Out of all if them he really has this "air" about him, ne? He's very celebrity-ish, and I don't mean that in a bad way. He just has this confident walk and stance that would never fail to show that he's an idol. Hehe.
The wonderful Ohno, on the other hand, almost missed the recording room by a few steps and had to turn around. Hehe. Perhaps he was semi-spacey that time.
Aiba was cute when he was sort of getting frustrated with the high note he was trying to reach. XD He was hitting the metal-paper-holder-thingee with his pencil. Meanwhile, Nino was so cool when he was doing his part. I thought he got it in one go only. It's like it was effortless. Haha. But he still did it a couple times more (all incredible), and he would be shuffling his magic cards in his hands while waiting for his cue. I don't remember how Jun did it. Gomen. Hehe. I just remember that he was seated and he was playfully singing something softly that made someone outside the recoding room laugh. Wekeke...
And then there was a part when a hand was shown and it was playing Niji on the piano. So, ofcourse, since Niji is Nino's song I instantly felt giddy and excited and was grinning like a fool and all. And then, they showed who was playing and it was actually...Ohno. XD I tell you, I laughed at myself after that. But it was very amusing how Ohno looked around the room and the lyrics sheet and stuff.
Speaking of the dear Riida, he isalways wearing something very simple like a shirt, jeans, and cap. He's likeable that way, ne? Unassuming and modest and quiet. Hehe. But you've got to love his facial expressions. XD While they were rehearsing under the heat of the sun, he was looking very hot and uncomfortable. Haha.. He kept wiping his forehead and his face and you could tell that he would rather not stand there and sweat. But he was still there anyway. All the boys were. They were really doing their best.
And ofcourse, who would mind seeing some of them bare-chested. right? Haha. *hopes Hannah doesn't read this*
Nino reminded me of Yamada Taro with his head wrapped with a towel. It's unfair how he looks good with it. That look doesn't work for everyone, right? I mean, if I wore something like that I'd probably look like I had cancer and was undergoing chemo. XD
Oh and Ohno is often just quiet and listening to what the others are saying, reacting only once in a while. *remembers Rachelle* (You should have been stamped as Ohno, Ree-chan.)
Oh yeah, and I loved the fountain.
I hope STORMY subs these vids soon. I'd love to udnerstand what they were talking about backstage. Haha..
Anyway, after watching the backstage part I watched some performances. In "Ichioku no hoshi", men never looked as good in pastel pink suits. XD I thought Arashi carried the outift pretty well.
"Still" was...*thinks for a while* I forgot how it was. XD All I can remember now is how kakkoi and crushable Ohno was when he was singing "Take me Faraway". He dances really well. Hehe.
)))))))
Yosh...
I still have to iron my clothes and make a few phone calls.
