Buyer's Remorse....Again

So I went to an appliance scratch and dent sale that started today just to look and ended up buying my washing machine there. It was about $150 more than I intended on spending, but the actual washer was about $250 less than retail - just because of a small dent in the bottom corner. Sooooo naturally I spent the afternoon doing washer comparisons online, comparing the one I bought, a Whirpool Cabrio, to the one I intended to buy, some Kenmore something or other. I think I made a good purchase, even though I feel incredibly guilty for spending the extra money I really shouldn't be spending right now. But this washer has a "whitest white" setting. I wonder if that is total BS. But you know the first load I will be doing will be a load of whites!

I am pretty excited. Saturday I am having a little "all girls" Halloween party. There will be lots of eating, drinking and pumpkin carving. I haven't carved a pumpkin in years, but I always enjoyed it when I was a kid. I also like roasting the pumpkin seeds. Also I can add some cheap decor to the front porch when I am finished! Even though my house isn't "finished" I was dying to have a little get together. So tonight through Saturday I will be scouring everything clean. Also I am finally trying my hand at some stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers, thanks to a little culinary inspiration from pentapuss. I will definately take pictures of the drunken masterpieces that are sure to be carved!
