Finally...
I close on the house tomorrow. I am nervous and excited! And more than anything, ready to get started pulling down the atrocious wallpaper and putting up my carefully picked out paint. Also we decided instead of carpet to put wood laminate floors upstairs. Not only does it look better but it will be much easier to clean up Sydney's hair. We are also saving about $2000 by going this route because we are installing it ourselves. The carpet installation was a killer. I think it was about $4000 just to install the wood laminate floors! So even though this is going to be quite challenging, I know it will all be worth it in the end. Also I have already bought the concrete backer board and tile and grout for the bathrooms. I will admit I have considered going full tilt and putting in radiant heating in the master bathroom floor. I am already spending all this money anyways!!! But we will see! Wish me luck and watch for pictures on the new blog.
