Brass instruments = not as harmless as you may think...
Yeah, well, we had our first stageband rehearsal today. I've been practicing hard for the... 4 days I've been playing the instrument, and I was kind of confident I'd make it through. But then I pick it up and play 2 notes and I didn't notice that my pinky was in the way, so my slide sliced it. Owww!!! It wouldn't stop bleeding for a while, and they start playing and I'm trying not to let anyone see the blood trickling down my finger. I have called it a "slide-related injury" - so everyone who wasn't at band thinks I fell off a slide!
And now I get to go answer some questions on how data becomes information. And then write a page-long story in Italian. And then read a whole book of Pinter. Although that will be fun.
I digress. First production rehearsal tomorrow!! Can I still call it 'production'? Maybe just 'panto that I wish was a musical'. I doubt I will do anything tomorrow, though, because I'm not in it 'til like the last 2 scenes. Which is a good think because I haven't learned my lines. Oh well, how many different ways can you say "off with their head" anyway?
