Watching the parade, for Remembrance Day, it is crazy how brave those people are. War was such a different thing then, no worry of mass destruction, not that I believe any war is right, but those people are so proud, it is amazing. Simon grandad was in the war...and Simon has all his medals, as well as loads of stories about him. He used his brother's birth certificate when he was only 17, so that he could go to war. He used to get dropped behind enemy lines in Burma and India, etc..with a donkey and a gun, killing the Japanese along the way. He would be sent in on a glider, strapped to the back of the donkey. I can't even imagine.
Finishing that paper today, it is like weeks late, but I just haven't had time. I should have listened to Wendy when she said get it done as soon as possible. Speaking of Wendy, She has gained my respect, I actually like her now, and I believe she has faith in my abilities as a teacher so that helps. She will be coming to observe one of my classes soon, I'll have to threaten the kids for the next few days, to make sure they behave.
Looking forward to Cardiff next weekend, watching the Canada vs. Wales rugby match, should be a great weekend... I can't wait to get all patriotic and wave my Canadian flag. Just looking forward to getting away for a night with Simon. And shopping of course.
