Excuse my simple-mindedness.

agh! i did it anyway!! i popped into CNN really quick to scan the other headlines of the today and came across GDubYa giving a speach about the Virginia Tech killings.

Excuse me for being country and sometimes simple minded in that i dont understand the world....Why does the President always give a speach after terrible events?? i mean, not just our current Pres. but also from the past Pres.'s. Is it required?? im just wondering....anyone?

Bush attended a convocation at Virginia Tech, where he told attendees those who died "did nothing to deserve their fate."

"On this terrible day of mourning, it's hard to imagine a time will come when life at Virginia Tech will return to normal," Bush said. "But such a day will come -- and when it does, you will always remember the friends and teachers who were lost yesterday, the time you shared with them and the lives they hoped to lead."

That's only part of it, btw. The article didn't post the whole thing....it would be a really awesome speach if would be coming from Pres. Kennedy's mouth...read it imagining its the volume of an old 60's era documentary film. ...see what i mean??? ...but not the same, when pictured w/Bush saying it. :-/

that is all.
