Why -Insert Character's Name- Is Better Than Edward Cullen. 1: Lisia March

May 13, 2010 00:29

New segment! Ohhh, I'm bursting with ideas today!

We've been through this, right? Someone says 'my character is better than Edward Cullen!' and it is revealed it is nothing more than a Mary Sue. Why am I even bothering to put this up?

Well, cause I want to see if anyone will give a damn.

This will, simply be an introduction of character, real or not, and give standard information about the character. Like a picture, age, height, personality and shit like that. When I'm done, I'll give you the 'Edward Cullen Would...' List and mess it up to show how the character is better than Edward. And STILL not be a Man Bitch for the fans.

If you're interested in seeing this or that character here, let me know in the comment section of something.

-----------------------------------------------

First up will be Lisia March! From my now under-revision webcomic, Seven Noble Kinsmen.

The one on the right.

Name: Lisia E. March

Age: 27

Height: 5'5

Hair color: Black now bleached blonde.

Eye color: Green.

Personality: Lisia March is an eager-to-please, neurotic and unstable young woman. Basically.

Being forced to do things for others all her life, Lisia wants to make everyone happy to the point of changing her looks to accommodate someone but she is slow in trusting someone in fear of them taking advantage of her.

Is more of a follower than a leader when in a relationship with someone, whether romantic or not, but will attempt to make for it by helping in anyway she can. Downside is that she relies on the orders of the person too long she will second guess herself when asked for an opinion or an idea.

Talented in Shakespearean plays but easily caves into pressure from it, taking refuge in anything to make the feelings more numb. Due to this, she is prone to being dramatic and acting flustered when something goes wrong.

Why this one?: Because Lisia, out of all the characters I copied/wrote up for the webcomic, got the most development. Originally meant to be a shallow, one-shot character, Lisia was fleshed out more when I decided to give the characters more background and Lisia was given the most. Even more than the main character, Sandra!

And now...

A normal guy would say: “I love you Baby!”
Edward Cullen would say: “You are my life now.”
Lisia March would simply smile and it shows.

Normal Guy would say: “I think I am falling for you.”
Edward Cullen would say: “The Lion fell in Love with the Lamb”
Lisia March would say: "I think I'm starting to trust you."

Normal Guy would say: “Youe hair looks like a haystack; go brush it!”
Edward Cullen would say: "Your hair looks like a haystack but I like it.”
Lisia March would say: "Your hair looks like kind of messy. Can I help you fix it?"

A normal guy would pick a random song from a random artist and dedicate it to you.
Edward Cullen would sing you a song he wrote for you while playing the piano.
Lisia March would try to make a song for you, fail at it, act flustered and simply dedicate a favorite song of hers to you.

If you die, a normal guy would find another.
If you die, Edward would kill himself cause life without you isn’t worth living.
If you die, Lisia would find another but never forget you. Because, honestly who would forget a dead lover for good?

As you leave the house, a normal guy would say: “Bye, see ya!”
As you leave the house Edward Cullen would say: “Come back to me, love.”
As you leave the house, Lisia March would simply wave say: "Take care now dear!"

As you come back to the house, a normal guy would be watching TV and wouldn’t even notice.
As you come back to the house, Edward Cullen would be welcoming you by playing the piano with a song just for you.
As you come back to the house, Lisia March would be practicing for next play but greet you the moment she realizes you're in the room.

A normal guy would wait for you to make him breakfast.
Edward Cullen would make you breakfast everyday.
Lisia should never be allowed near the kitchen when the food is being prepared.

While you are both out for dinner, a normal guy wouldn’t keep his eyes off the sexy waitress.
Edward Cullen wouldn’t even notice the waitress was a female.
Lisia March would greet the waitress, try to be nice all the time to the person and make sure to leave a big tip. Or badger you to do it if she doesn't have money.

A normal guy, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and one hand on the radio.
Edward Cullen, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and the other attached to yours.
Lisia March, while driving, would keep both hands on the damn wheel because she doesn't want to get arrested again, thanks.

While far apart in different places, a normal guy would say: “I miss you.”
While far apart in different places, Edward Cullen would say: “It’s like you've taken half myself with you.”
While far apart in different places, Lisia March would say: "I hope you're having fun wherever you are! It's really exciting to be in a whole new area, isn't it?"

A normal guy wouldn’t care or notice if you had nightmares.
Edward Cullen would sing until your nightmares went away.
Lisia March would understand about your nightmares and talk to you about it.

A normal guy does it with everyone.
Edward Cullen only does it with one.
Lisia March does it only when she feels like the person is 'right'.

A normal guy buys you flowers and chocolates.
Edward Cullen buys you a car.
Lisia March just offers you her shy smiles and quiet laughs.
