When his shift was over, Yesung clocked out and waited for Siwon in the break area. He was nervous but excited for their date. He didn’t have to wait long. Siwon stepped into the break area and greeted him a few minutes later.
“Ready to go?” he asked, and Yesung nodded. Hopping into Siwon’s car, they headed off to find a place to eat.
“Sorry if we can’t stay out long,” said Siwon, “I promised my uncle I’d close the shop. Sungmin and Kyuhyun are supposed to call me when they finish the cleaning and prepping for tomorrow.”
“It’s okay,” said Yesung, a little disappointed, but understanding, “I’m sure it’ll be alright.” Siwon smiled and continued to drive down the road.
Meanwhile, at the store, Sungmin watched the last few customers leave. Locking the front door, and turning off the ‘open’ sign, he began to clean up the front of the restaurant. Then, remembering about Yesung and Siwon, he stopped and ran back into the kitchen.
“Kyu,” he said, “put everything down.” Kyuhyun gave Sungmin a puzzled look.
“But we have to finish the stuff for tomorrow, don’t we?”
“Yeah, we do,” said Sungmin, “but we should do it as slowly as possible.”
“And why’s that?” he asked, putting down the vegetables he’d been cutting and walking over to where Sungmin was.
“Because, Yesung and the manager are on a date.” Kyuhyun nodded.
“I see,” he said, stepping closer still to Sungmin.
“And you know,” said Sungmin seductively, “since they’re on a date right now that should mean we can have a little date time of our own.” Kyuhyun pulled Sungmin into a kiss. They would be sure to clean the restaurant extra slowly.
Siwon finally stopped the car outside of a small restaurant.
“Let’s get takeout and go somewhere,” suggested Siwon, and Yesung nodded.
“Okay, I suppose,” he said, unsure of where this date was going. Did Siwon really even want to be on a date with him at all? Getting their food and getting back into the car, Siwon started driving again. Driving up a tall hill, he parked the car out of the way and told Yesung that they had arrived at their destination. Yesung looked around. He couldn’t see anything but trees and the road.
“It’s a little more up,” said Siwon, “so we’ll have to walk just a little.” Yesung frowned.
“Alright,” he said, unable to hide the shade of disappointment coloring his voice.
“It’ll be worth it,” said Siwon, seeming to know how Yesung was feeling, “I promise. Just trust me?” Yesung sighed and gave in. He couldn’t refuse Siwon. Carrying their food, they walked a little further up the hill, and then Yesung saw what Siwon had meant.
Up ahead there was a break in the trees where a little ledge jutted out. There was a bench on the small flat area and from it, you could see the whole city, lit up by the glow of lights. The stars and moon over head were beautiful as well, and Yesung was stunned. Seeing Yesung’s reaction, Siwon smiled.
“Do you like it?” he asked, and Yesung nodded.
“I love it.”
