I realized the GRE is only a week away today, so I went to the GRE website and downloaded a math review and spent nearly two hours just working on the first sectiion: arithmetic. You know - integers, fractions, percentages, and exponents and that kind of stuff? The simple stuff that's only one step above long division? Middle school math, basically. I got 85%, working mostly without a calculator. I could feel my brain getting fatigued as I was working. Totally flashed back to being 12 years old and slogging my way through pre-algebra homework. If I keep the same percentage in the other sections, I can live with that. The review I found only includes algebra, geometry and a section called "data analysis," which looks kind of like beginning statistics. I have no idea if the test will include anything higher, like trigonometry or pre-calc, since it is just the general test. Weirdly, it's the big huge essay section that I'm dreading the most, but it's probably the part I'll need the least prep for. For $160, I better not bomb this sucker.
