A fine line.
Perhaps the word would be "irritable".
Angry at the world, for no apparent reason.
Ah well, it'll pass.
Anniversary party canceled due to a Great Dane. He launched himself at my Grandpa and knocked him over. He hit his head and his back is in a lot of pain. It makes me sad. I blame the owners. A dog is, after all, a wild animal with natural instincts and such. If you would like to domesticate such an animal, it is your responsibility. Animals should not be put down. Humans should.
Guests were called. Things were returned. Except for the alcohol. There is an excess of wine and champagne in our kitchen. Jackie and I spilled the beans to our parents. It was fun telling them our 4 months of masterplanning. We also presented them with the picture frame and photoslide show. They were surprised and quite pleased with our effort and thought. Warm fuzzy feelings.
We're going to go visit my grandparents in December. Mixed feelings.
Part (1)
I'm stoked because the four of us have not been back to Plymouth together in a very long time. I'm going to get to see SNOW and spend New Year's with my beloved grandparents and cousins.
Part (2)
I'm going to miss my one year anniversary and New Year's with darling Bryce...
Late notice, but he came back from his trip! We sat down and he walked me through all the pictures he took and the places he visited. He didn't forget about me. It astounds me. He wrote in the snow for me. And he brought back presents! Plural. He picked different things up from the various places that he went!
- From a rock collection in a small town, he thoughtfully chose a very pretty rock with dead creatures in it (he brought me back pets! heehee...)
- From a farm, Huckleberry gummy bears
- A t-shirt from Crater Lake
- A very soft and cuddly black bear (whom I have fondly dubbed "Prince Kheldar")
He's lovely.
My dad's birthday was this past weekend. We bought an excess of unhealthy yet delicious foods such as an onion block from Tony Roma's and ribs, eggrolls, and chicken tenders from Elephant Bar. We also had two salads and a big fruit cake from Safeway. It was good times with Bryce and Binh there too. After overstuffing ourselves, we watched Batman Begins. Such a solid movie. I like it when Bryce comes over. We went through some of my old high school papers.
They're already starting to change colors. That makes me feel old for some reason.
