the_marchioness, kilroi and the psychocommagrlz have heard me whine about this, so I figured I'd update: the protein sample that I rushed to nitrate and purify this weekend ARRIVED in Israel today!!!!
FedEx is amazing. I sent off the package on Monday afternoon, 1 p.m. P.S.T. Ole wrote me at around noon his time today in Israel to say that the protein had arrived and was sitting in the fridge. Honestly, I never imagined it'd get there so quickly!!!

I still have a lot of cleaning and shopping to do, but he arrives tonight and I'm throwing a small get together for people to catch up. Yay for great company! Yay for Dr. J!!!
We leave for Vegas tomorrow afternoon, after he carries out a measurement for his old Caltech boss. (Can you say "workaholic"?)
So, as it's likely I won't be on line until after I get back from Las Vegas/San Diego....
