I just returned from the MSUPMA meeting and tonight was elections. They had sent out an email telling everyone to run, so I thought what the hell and decided right before I left for the Engineering building to run. I ran for Public Relations because I figured that was the most likely position I could obtain due to my recent membership. We'll see how I do. There are two openings and 3 of us ran. I'm friends with both of the girls, so even if I don't get it I'm not gonna be hurt by it. Hell I had to give a speech and I wasn't prepared. Nicole said that I didn't sound like an ass although I felt like one. My legs were shaking, but luckily I was behind a podium, so I don't think that anyone could tell. I was still shaking after I sat down. Can you tell that I can't stand public speaking? You would think that I would be fine b/c I never shut up when talking to friends and telling them stories of my week or day, but you're wrong. Friends is completely different from everyone else. At least was friends with a couple of the people there so I felt a little more comfortable. Oh well. Can't say that I didn't try. I'll find out in 2 weeks how I did and either way it's not a big deal.
Update on my life: Spring Break was amazing and I don't want to be back at school. I don't want to go into details so if you would like to know just ask. I have a couple more pictures left on my one camera and then I will get all of the pictures developed. I can't wait. I hope they turn out *crosses fingers* We took panoramic shots of the view which was simply amazing and I hope that everyone will be able to see what I was lucky enough to enjoy for a couple days. Now that I'm back to school though I'm getting stressed out just by all that I have to do in such a short period of time. I'm trying to not let that get me down though and stay on task, because before break I was super stressed and just pissed off at the world for it, which definitely wasn't a fun time and I don't want to go back down that path again. I don't have anything that is due for the next 2 weeks so this gives me time to play catch up and stay on top of things so that I don't just let it all wait until next week.
I got my MCAT location assignment and I got my first choice of Oakland. I'm really happy b/c I signed up only a week before the deadline and due to the first come first serve basis for locations I figured that I was screwed. Luckily I guess that I'm not the only one who waited until last minute so I got my pick. YAY me. Then I'll be able to go home on Friday afternoon and get a good night's sleep in my own bed and not have to worry about anyone being drunk and partying. YAY.
Well that's the only exciting news in my life. Time for me to be productive :)
