Today we started public health. The only good thing about that is that it means that Geriatrics is over. They told us today that everyone passed the exam so that is good to know at least I won't be retaking that class. Public Health is pretty much a repeat of Epi 390. I didn't really pay attention then and I really won't know. I don't think that we're going to learn about guinea worm disease though and our professor doesn't have the awesome British accent that the guy at MSU has. One good thing about this class is that half of it will be online. That makes me super happpy, b/c otherwise it'd be just another waste of 3 hrs. on a Tuesday morning.

Friday is St. Patty's day and I have my Clinical Exam practical at 1:30, so the drinking must wait until the evening b/c I also have to take Cynthia to the airport in Tampa at 4. B/c it is close this time of the year for some reason I flashed back to sophomore year and the silly Irish song Sarah would play really loud on that morning. I'm sad that I won't get the pleasure of hearing it this year. Have no fear though. I was singing it the other day.

This weekend is basketball heaven. I'm so excited. I'm just going to sit in front of the tv all weekend long. I'm planning on only taking notes on what I have read, so that little thought is involved. They are having a pool for the bracket at school, so I need to fill mine out and pay my $5 then sit back and enjoy. Mike (the guy who's running the contest) said the last 4 out of 5 years a girl has won, so I'm hoping that gives me a shot. We'll see.

This weekend I went to the beach on Saturday for 6 hrs. and studied. I was productive, but I got burnt like you wouldn't believe. I forgot to put sunscreen on my feet and by the time I realized it the damage was already done. I also have weird burn marks from apparantly missing sunscreen or just areas that were more sensitive like the bottom of my forearm, which has lines that match the book I was reading perfectly. My feet are all swollen due to the severe burn and they look huge and ugly. If you didn't know I burnt them and just saw the size of them you would think that I rolled both of them, especially the left. The only good thing is that the pain has decreased, it used to heart a lot more. I'm hoping that it will keep improving because my practical is Friday.

I guess I should go pay attention to public health.
