Trying not to abandon LJ again

Today, I got yelled at by Judee, my school's scholarship counselor, for not doing my scholarship essays :( Hey, in my defense, I didn't know about them! BecauseIslackedoffonMondayanddidn'tgotoschool, but I didn't know about them! So, in less than an hour, I whipped out a really crappy essay about my (exaggerated) volunteer activities and how I'm a better person because of them. I wrote about wrangling in people from the streets to register for voting in the 2004 Presidential elections and how from that experience, my level of respect for different views and beliefs was reinforced... which it wasn't.

People are awful!! They are mean!! They ignored and smirked at me. And there were also people who hit on me but still didn't register! And one dude told me he was on parole... uncomfortable silence! After 3 hours, I only got 3 registrations while my friend got 10! Wtf! Racists!! No, of course it's not because I'm not charismatic. It is never my fault. I am Asian, and therefore, I am flawless.

If I learned anything from that time, it was to be nicer to survey people on streets... which I am still not, so I guess I didn't learn anything after all. But the flyer people, ugh, I always take all the flyers handed to me. The companies are so sneaky, they employ the elderly to make me feel bad. And I feel so horrible throwing the flyers away in front of them, so usually I walk a block before dumping them. I mean the flyers are usually in Chinese, a language I cannot read anyway. Ughh, if you want to bully me, just become old and wrinkly.

I still haven't taken my senior pictures! I was supposed to take them a month ago, but I was in Japan during the time I was scheduled by my school to go. I am beyond not photogenic, so I am half relieved. I am also not going to the senior trip or prom... I have no school spirit.

This is a shitty journal. I write in it like I write essays.

Now I shall go make up a week's worth of calc homework and 4 weeks worth of political BS.

school, scholarships
