Here is an email I sent to my mom. I just posted it here instead of rewriting things.
Hey Mom,
We got a call yesterday from our real estate agent who said that a guy put an offer on our house(he put $2500 down for earnest money [earnest money ensures that no one else can buy it]) The offer was only $122,000 but Jon says he is just a good business man and bid way lower hoping that we would come down a lot on our counteroffer. He said that is how all smart peple who know what they are doing make a bid on a house. Our counteroffer will be $135,000-FIRM, which is what we were hoping to get out of it anyway. We purposely made it $139,900 so we could come down with a counteroffer if we needed to. Jon got papers faxed to the church this morning so we should know something very soon. (I didn't go to church this morning because I didn't want Chandler spreading germs)The real estate agent said he really wants it and was asking all types of questions-including sending the garage door openers, which we forgot to leave in the hustle and bustle of getting out of the house and on the road to Indiana. Our real estate agent says she is just shocked and amazed it sold this quickly. Jon told her that I said "What God orders, He pays for" (we had told her the reason we were moving was because we were trying to follow the plan of God for our lives.)and she said, "Well, I guess He does", lol.
This is the link to the visual tour that our real estate agent did for us.
http://www.visualtour.com/shownp.asp?sk=13&t=1171804 Just paste and copy and it should come right up to our house. I love you all so much. Please keep me in your prayers. Even though I know that I know that this is what we are supposed to be doing and where we are supposed to be the transition is still a little hard for me. Chandler has not been feeling well, bad cough and constant runny nose. That has made it a little hard too.
Give my love to everyone.
Melissa
