Man, oh man! I've been working pretty much every evening/night so that I'll have enough vacation hours saved up for our Hawaii trip. It's hard to believe that we'll be going in 2 weeks. YIKES! I still have so much to do before we go.
On Wednesday Alison and I were able to see Braden's show at Reflections. It's been months since I last saw them play. They played a good set. Lots of bass face. Good times. A bunch of peeps from Braden's program came out as well. We all stayed afterwards and danced our little hearts out. I'm kind of regretting my enthusiastic running man solo, but oh well. I only had 4 beers, but I had a headache the next day. I'm an old lady...
I've recently finished reading a bunch of delightful books:
- The Great Farini - Shane Peacock
- Post Office - Charles Bukowski
- After Dark - Haruki Murakami
- Oracle Night - Paul Auster
Right now I'm re-reading 'A Confederacy of Dunces' by John Kennedy Toole. If you haven't already read it, you must stop reading this post right now and run to your nearest bookstore and purchase it. It is hilarious.
Tomorrow's agenda will most likely consist of diner breakfast, thrift store shopping, a matinee movie, mexican restaurant dinner followed by a night shift. Sunday we're going on the haunted walk of Halifax.
