Bereft
Hi everyone.
Sorry I haven't updated in a little while. Sad happenings: my great-grandfather passed away on Thursday, and yesterday was his funeral. It was the first one I've ever been to and I wasn't really prepared. I spoke on behalf of all his great-grandchildren...hard, but I would have regretted it if I hadn't. But it hasn't really sunk in what happened. I know that we had a funeral and buried someone, but when I put my great-grandfather's name to it, it just doesn't work. It doesn't fit. Like two puzzle pieces that don't match. I really can't accept it - as Coldplay sings in The Scientist: "Nobody said it was easy...no one ever said it would be so hard."
On a happier note, I got a trombone today. I shall use it to play in the Thornhill Concert Band and for school choir, on request of Mr. Ubertelli. He was quite funny when I told him I play trombone: "You play WHAT?!"
I look forward to the cast premiere of Sunset and Kamden tomorrow. Thanks to all my friends for their support and such.
