on a.. friday, i'll think it through.
today has really been alright. i didn't have the courage or the organisational skills to make it to london with alex. i sort of had the feeling that i wouldn't have had that much fun, even if i got to spend time with some nice people. plus if i had gone, i wouldn't be here now having eaten half a genoa cake, having done the washing up whilst singing along to rem and knowing i can wake up in my bed tomorrow and not have to be out of the house by eight thirty to go to work. i know in the grand scheme of things these may not seem like amazing things, but they are well, nice.
in other news i spent over three hours on a bus today. the snow (gone by lunchtime i hasten to add) caused traffic mayhem in the cambridge area and meant our college bus journey took twice as long as usual. which included a very near miss with some form of pillar as we went straight ahead instead of round the relatively sharp bend to the right. it wouldn't have been more exciting if i could have seen out of the grubby windows. oh well. i had a review of sorts (of supposedly all of my work since christmas) which i mumbled my way through. i was quite pleased to hear our teacher describe my lack of finished projects as a lack of self confidence when it came to finalising them. and call my approach to sketchbooks original - noo, i just don't have any. he didn't have a bad word to say, bar the fact i speak too quietly. but i can deal with that. it was just nice to go from feeling like i had barely any work to realising i'm not always as rubbish as i tell myself i am. so i'm going to spend my nice free weekend doing more work and trying to make things even better. i will leave crc with a btec national diploma in foundation studies(art&design). and if i could somehow get a distinction, well that would be rather nice too. but i'm not fussy.
i hope everyone's having a good time out and about. or staying in. its the new going out you see. i miss my albert - out on the glam_razzle again eh?!
