Happy Fourth!

I spent the day commuting from Kyra's grandma's, my house, and the park. Ellie wasn't feeling well, so we took her to my place and placated her with cranberry juice, AC and Doctor Who.

We all came back to the Hentzen's blanket to wait for fireworks. We met Ellie's mom's friend's son, Adam. He's twelve, very smart, and a DW fanatic. Seriously, I love him already. (And yes, Ellie, he is egregiously shota and I want to put him in a frilly dress and bonnet.)

I sat and watched the fireworks with Andrew. They were utterly amazing this year, the first truly artistic display I've ever seen. I made out with Andrew in the middle of the show. "I've always wanted to do something like that," I told him.
Andrew was saying how you could tell the size of the blast before it hit, and the chemicals used to make colors. He was in this major rocket competition a while back, so he knows a lot about it. But it got me thinking. I barely know anything about him. I mean, I know he can program like whoa and loves gaming and is a great snuggler and give kisses with nibbles. But there's who DIMENSIONS to him that I don't know. It's like that with the world, with everyone. You see different people each day, but you can't see inside them. There's a whole universe, their own universe within them; their favorite food, the people they love, the way they take their coffee in the morning.A person is truly a bizarre, amazing, beautiful thing.

...whoa. that was deep. I must be high or something.
