Mother of stars, where do I begin??
We arrived on Friday, but registration was closed by the time we got there. So, we went up with Ellie's collage friends (including her boyfriend). Mom thought she had gotten her wallet stolen, but it turned out that it was just left at our hotel. Since I couldn't attend any of the panels, I went and played apples to Apples in the gaming room. Otaku are the best people to play games with, I must say. When we were dropping Jorje off at his hotel, it turned out there were a bunch of fire trucks outside, and the elevators weren't working, so we couldn't get to the exit. We were runnin g down the stairs, but the only way out was from the emergency exit. It was a bit scary, but the elevators eventually started working again.
On Saturday, I dressed up in my Rei outfit and registered. To get Jorje's badge, my mom had to lie and say she was his aunt, and he had a bunch of pins in his leg. I went to the Death Note ethics panel I attended last year ("Matsuda killed my god!") and the Literary Interpretation of Evangelion panel.(Greta hadn't even seen most of the series, but still loved it.). And I also blew all my money at the massive dealers' room. I got some figurines for my collection, a bunch of cool pins, a Death Note fan Dojin, a dvd, and I even got Mom a pair of earings for Mother's Day, 'cuz did she ever deserve it.
In the evening, Ellei and the others wet to the rave, while I dragged Greta to the late-nite kareoke. I had to wait until 1 pm for my turn, but it was worth it. I sang Cruel Angel's Thesis from Evangelion. I didn't know the second verse, so I ad-libbed about how crazy the show is, and how it screws with your mind.
There was one guy who wrote this epic poem about fanboyism. Apparently my mom saw him go out into the lobby, and then had a bunch of police cars took him away. He must have overdosed on something. Eek.
Then we went home at 2 pm.
On Sunday I woke up with blue gunk still in my hair from yesterday and feeling (and looking) like I was on drugs. Eventually we got all our stuff together and drove home.
Cons truly are amazing experiences. It's got its own pulse to the place, and you can completely forget the rest of the world even exists. I reccomend evey geek try it at least once.
The best costumes, to narrow it down, were an angel!L and an enormous Jack Skellington.
I didn't get to see this one voice actor (I woke up too late) and I didn't find any Death Note nendoroid dolls I wanted, but I was overall very satisfied with the weekend.

Tomorrow I have school. Oh right, that place exists, doesn't it? mmm.
