Rooster Days in Broken Arrow was fun. It really was like a mini version of the fair. Booths inside selling random crap, more food that you could ever eat in a day, but you try anyway b/c dammit, fair food is good! Rides and other overpriced fun stuff (get the megapass for 30 bucks, you'll be glad you did), and of course, you can't have hometown fair without bad singing on the stage!! AND, being a smaller affair, there weren't super long lines for stuff (except the pony rides!)
I didn't realize we were parking quite so far away (my brain's been checked out all morning) and so I left the sunblock in the car. Longest parade ever (after an hour we left to find food, and it was still going strong thirty minutes after that!) and wandering all over the park and I'm sure I'm a bit pink. My skin hurts anyway.
And dammit, I've got freckles on my nose that WEREN'T there before!
