It has been a busy few weeks, let me tell you! Wow....
So we closed on our house December 13 (Friday the 13th, good thing I am not superstitious!) managed to close both properties the same day, but it was craziness!!!! First of all, that week, Monday I had to go to Dickinson to pick up my coop order. Tuesday I went to Bismarck to meet a friend and finish Christmas shopping, because that had to get done too. Wednesday I did as much packing/cleaning/touch up painting as I could, thurs I had my first baby appt which took all afternoon, then we went home and loaded the last things into the trailer and cleaned. Friday we got up, loaded our bed and tv, and left for closing on the killdeer house. That went good, hit the road to drop the trailer and pets off in Beulah, then headed to Bismarck to close on the Beulah house. We have gotten to be really good friends with the sellers, so they had a big going away party in Beulah that night (that we were invited to) and didn't actually move out til the next day. So, our first night in OUR house, we slept on their guest bed, and our first full day was spent loading all their stuff (36 years with far too much storage space in this house) with about 20 others here helping and just chaotic. They got going, but left a ton behind.... Some for us to deal with, some they plan to come back for. Thankfully a few of their helpers stuck around long enough to help us unload our trailer and bring a few of our things up from the basement. I ordered pizza from Beulah (remember, small town... There are no pizza huts etc) and it was 90 bucks for 3 pizzas, breadsticks and pop, but well worth it. I finally have our upstairs mostly organized and we even put our tree up. It is awesome! There is so much space!!! I hope to put pics on fb today.
We are going to Fargo in the morning for Christmas, and will be home Friday evening. Will be nice since Justin has it off and can go! We weren't doing gifts this year since we got the ranch, but he went and got me something. "The perfect gift" he said, so I one upped him and ordered him the 60 inch tv he has been wanting. He will be shocked!!
