Je suis en Paris avec Tamar! And that's about all the French I know, which makes this a rather terrifying experience. I've never really been in a country where I didn't know the language before. Montreal doesn't count, because they speak both French and English, and Belgium was ok because we had professors to take care of everything for us. ( Read more... )

Paris is DEFF hella expensive, we starved in paris and gorged in Italy. aubs lived off bread, but then again so did kate and I. good weight program :) in London we were at least able to find a somewhat cheap restaurant, but not so lucky in Paris. Though we did find a GREAT pastry shop by the Bastille subway. sooo yummy. Make sure u take a trip to the sacre couer. it's around the moulin rouge area, up on the hill, overlooking Paris. It's all white and beautiful. Also the mosiacs are fantastic, and u feel as if you are in the eyes of god. Notre dame tho is fantastic. Also, go see the Sainte Chapelle, if u have time, it's all staind glass windows/walls, gold everywheres, and stary nite cielings. And when u go to the Eiffel tower, make sure that u go to the 3rd floor, (not just the top), it has the best view of paris up close. also try to be there at nite, at 11, I wanna say, maybe earlier they light it up, it's breathtaking, and there are SO many street vendors and artists working. It's fun to just watch them. and listen to flick! go to the dorsee museum! oh and eat a crepe for me, I miss them so much. :) Aso, don't worry about your french, most are willing to talk to you, if not say qu'est que c'est?- what is it? then at least u are shwoing you made the effort.
