Long time no update
Wow, I haven't updated since April 6! Well, things are moving along. Unfortunately I have gestational diabetes and will likely be starting insulin very soon. It's a bummer, but I am dealing with it. My body is really sensitive to sugar right now. I am on a special 'diet' and have to watch what I eat very carefully & check my blood sugars throughout the day.
Anyway, the nursery is painted a buttery yellow and her furniture (white) ordered....her layette is complete, my mom bought every article of clothing she'll need. I only bought like three things!
House is coming along. Just minor little things need to be done now. The kitchen is done. The small bathroom is done (we just need the mirror in there). The flowers we planted a month or so ago are starting to bloom, gladolias, in all different colors. I love seeing the different-colored buds popping out of the long green stems.
I added some color to my living room; fushcia pink throw pillow and using mainly fuschia flowers & orchids in there. I just love the way it looks with the cool light aqua & white I have everywhere else. Bought some small entry rugs and a hallway runner that all are the same. Somehow it looks better than using different styles.
I'd like to paint our bedroom a very light cafe au lait color and add bamboo shades. The painting part hubby doesn't want to do as the fumes & pregnancy don't go together I guess...
