I spent the weekend in a different world.

And what a wonderful world it is.

My psychology book says: “[Marijuana] affects neurons indiscriminately and promiscuously and thereby overwhelms our exquisitely tuned neural system - which in turn disrupts memory and attention, as well as other cognitive functions… As Barinaga (2001) put it, the chemicals introduced by marijuana eliminate the fine-tuned “local activity patterns just as spilling a bottle of ink across a page obliterates any fine words written there.””

I went to Boston to visit Carly and I smoked.
Yes.
You can believe it.
I did it.
I inhaled smoke into my lungs and didn’t instantaneously die of lung cancer.

It was a fun weekend. Some of my favorite parts:
1. Experience laying on the memory foam chair while needles gently poke at me as I sink into it forever.
2. Going to see Bridge to Teribithia high. The intro was AMAZING and 3-D I SWEAR!
3. Laughing at Carly when she was freaking out because she thought that Katie and I looked like we were in a sit-com.
4. Not shopping high. Did not like that. But the shiny, jewelry store was very sparkly…
5. Giving in to the constant pull and falling into that world… where I am safe and invincible and being hugged by needles and swinging around on roller coasters and forgetting the real world COMPLETELY.
6. Falling asleep instantly on the 7-hour, 2:15AM bus ride back and not waking up until it was time to get off and get on th next bus. Thank you, pot. :)
