I don't have any more excuses for avoiding posting here now that NaNo 2009 is over. It's been awesome, and torturous, and don't think I didn't contemplate quitting more than once. But I have a manuscript now. It's lacking a plot and sufficient character development, not to mention overflowing with the words "look" and "eyes", but it's a manuscript. And it wasn't there a month ago. And...I successfully kicked my characters out my head, where they'd been chilling for the past, oh, let's say two years now.
By the way. My grammar sucks now, as does my spelling. They're side effects of being a Wrimo.
Umm...Saw Waters of Mars. It completely blew my mind.
Saw New Moon. It completely blew my mind....for much different reasons.
I'll elaborate on both of those later...hopefully. Probably the former once I've watched it again on the nineteenth (when it *premiers*) and the latter when I get around to it. Most likely once I get to finishing Xlormp.
Juxtapose_42 from Best_Thing_Ever just posted his MySpace music page or whatever it's called...and I had to LOL. Listen to "Bulbasaur". It's AMAZING. And "Without MC" isn't too shabby, either. I'm going to have to figure out how to get those on my iPod.
(
http://www.myspace.com/emcee117 is the link. I kinda forgot to put it up originally...what can I say? My memory sucks.)
Been having a cruddy day...It'll probably roll over into the entire week...ah well. At least tomorrow is Ugly Sweater Day.
I'm sick of all the stupid groups on facebook that keep popping up about little mannerisms that everyone thinks is completely unique to just him or her. If people stopped joining them, they'd stop appearing...it's not that difficult a concept to handle.
I watched House today, and I am extremely appreciative of hearing the story from Wilson's point of view for once. Sometimes, we as fans get so caught up in House's quirky personality that we forget that he's a complete bastard. The writers really nailed it to us tonight by letting us see him from a different perspective...and it doesn't hurt that they gave us an hour straight of Wilson goodness. *SQUEEE*
And one other thing; all the nastiness was contrasted SO beautifully at the end of the episode after they get over their fight. Honestly, House and Wilson have the greatest bromance on TV, and it's my favorite part of the show. I got all warm and fuzzy inside, to put it a different way.
Hmm. I have about ten gummy bears (Gummi Bears) left in the bag. I'm surprised I didn't finish the whole thing during NaNoWriMo...now I don't want to touch the survivors; it's like they're sacred or something. They're WRITING bears. Not facebook bears. Or econ homework bears. Not even blogging bears. I suppose if I get hungry enough, I'll eat them.
Can I bring up Twilight again? What a ridiculous franchise. I do not for the life of me understand how so much Twilight-themed shit can get sold. I get the T-shirts and the posters and can even swallow the life-sized cardboard cutouts; but why would anyone need Twilight perfume or Twilight nightlights or Twilight Barbie dolls? Or Twilight-themed desserts? I'm not making this stuff up. It's too good to be fiction. Parents must think, "Wow, I haven't screwed my brat up enough with the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana, no way! I'll get her to believe that she'll only be happy running around and being controlled by mythical creatures that sparkle and forget how to wear shirts!"
I used to be a Twilight fan. Just putting that out there. Sometimes I'll read my old posts and throw up a little.
Well...it's not 1,667 words, but it's a decent entry. I'll try to get back into the swing of things around here again...now that I apparently have enough time on my hands to write about nothing for forty five minutes.
