What? Mask & Weavile babysit Ionia
When? today to when Lucas comes back
Who? Lucas, Ionia, Mask, and Weavile
Earlier that morning, Mr. Mask had finished baking another batch of his magical cookies. He had begun to turn to unconventional means of baking ,due to the microwave popularity. This time he had baked them in his EZ-Bake-Oven. In his mind, they

But he did not sit down, he instead trotted over the the water with Miruto in her bottle and pried open the cork.
"Ok, little dear," he cooed, "Stay close now, I don't want you getting into any trouble. Ionia will play with you though!" he told the baby.
"Hey," he called over his shoulder, "Weavile, why don't you show us some of your tricks?"

"And then how about..." he mumbled to himself as he placed his hands together and collected more water. With another breath, the water froze into a larger statue of Mask holding a tray of cookies. "And one of Auntie Mask as well," he wearily grinned, the effects of using his powers in ginjinka form slowly taking their toll.

"Care for a dip, anyone?" he asked enthusiastically as he rolled up his own pants and waded into the water.

"Ionia loves Uncle Weavile's magic!" She clapped her hands in delight. Just how did he do it? Unless... Uncle Weavile was using PK Freeze! Uncle Weavile was psychic just like Mommy and Auntie Kumatora! Of course... it all made sense! He was family now, after all, so psychic-ness must have run in the family. Mystery: solved.
Ionia was far too caught up in her own theories and thrills to notice Weavile's fatigue; she took the counselor's hand and tugged gently. "Great idea, Auntie Mask! Uncle Weavile! Come swim with Ionia and Miruto and Auntie!"
Reply
Swaggering a little as Ionia pulled on his hand, he shook his head. "I'm not too sure about swimming... I'd rather not get my suit wet, if possible. But I'll stay in the water with you and Miruto. Then perhaps after, we can sit on the blankets and eat our sandwiches as Auntie Mask tells us a story, hm?"
He hadn't even meant to call Mask by that name that time. It simply slipped out. How odd.

"You really are no fun, Weavile!" he had almost called him Snaps there. Almost.
"But you'll have to decide what story you want to hear!" he mentioned, "I know so many." He then sank into the water a bit and tried to wave Miruto over, seeing f she would come to him. For Zoras in the sea, it was a big test of trust.

With that, she waded out deeper, so that she could swim properly. This was a very big water -- imagine how huge it would look if she were small again! It had been a long time since she had been swimming -- way too long for her liking!
"Ionia does not know many stories, Auntie Mask, but Ionia likes stories with adventures and happy endings the best!"
Reply
"I brought a few books with me, but if you think you have a better story, feel free." With Mask's flair for the dramatic, perhaps it would be better with an actual fairy tale. No reason to scare the poor girl, but knowing Mask, he had a feeling the other counselor would do so anyway.

"Hm... well, I shall have to think long and hard for a tale with an ending," he explained, "See, in Hyrule, most of our stories are to do with legends and whatnot, endings aren't always our forte." he chuckled.
"But I promise I'll think one up for you!" he swore.
He noticed his daughter was slowly swimming her little way over to him, but she deviated from her path to go check out coral and different fish. He sighed, Curious as always.

She resurfaced with a gasp, giving her head a vigorous shake in an attempt to get her dripping bangs out of her face. "Ionia is sure she will like Auntie Mask's story very much, but... what are legends? Ionia has not heard of those before."
There was a moment's pause before she added, "Hyrule is the name of the place we are in, right?"

Carefully wading over to the coral, his ears twitched slightly as his rolled up pants were starting to get a bit wet. As Miruto darted about, he tried to catalog each fish he saw. Truly the Hylian environment had many unique creatures.

"Oh, Weavile, you forget that we are in Hyrule! And anything is possible, whether that be legends or the ability to change species," he looked at Ionia, "And some of our legends are indeed real!"
He sunk under the water and snuck over closer to Weavile. He then jumped up and splashed him, giggling while he did so.
"If you want to see a legend, hen by all means I can show you anytime, Weavile," he once again refused the urge to call him 'Snaps'.
Reply
"What sort of legend are you suggesting?" Weavile's voice still held a tone of contempt. "Because if it's one of your insane stories that may or may not get me killed, I may have to pass."
Reply
"Don't you know! Just through that alcove," he pointed to an arch rock on the beach, "Is Zora Hall and the Great Turtle Rock!" he exclaimed.
"And in the other direction," he motioned behind him, "Is the Pirate's Fortress and Pinacle Rock. Sir, we are surrounded by legends!"

Again, Ionia dove under the water. This time, she resurfaced next to Mask, bangs slicked over her face like a sheepdog as she beamed up at him. "Legends sound very exciting! Can Ionia see a legend too, Auntie?"
Reply
"Well, Ionia, dear, what legend would you like to see?" he asked. There were so many different things he could show them. But... since Miruto was with them, he simply prayed that Ionia did not choose something to do with Zora Hall. Trouble could come up.
"Would you like to see the Great Fairy's Fountain?" he asked, hoping she said yes.
