The Movie (Part 1)
Okay, I have finally managed to catch death note the movie part 1 from the cinema! The plot is somehow altered which does not follow the manga.... There is also this so called girlfriend of Raito, Shiori, who does not exist in the manga.
Personally, I feel that the movie emphasizes a lot on the actual killing of the criminals and not on the wits battle between L and Raito (which is very disappointing for me as that was best part of this manga!!!!) However, this movie may be appeal more to the people who are new to the Death Note concept than Death Note fans. That's the feeling I have gotten when watching with the youngsters in the cinema who apparently do not read the manga before catching this movie. While it is adequate information for viewers who are new to Death Note, it took out the fun for us fans by not going in depth in that area. *sigh* I had a hard time convincing myself to accept the differences.>.< (hey look, its a new way to portray Raito... and stuff......)
At least my friend, who I kinda persuade to go with me, do enjoy the show and is looking forward to part 2. Hehe. In addition, my biggest accomplishment this week is that I have managed to convince 2 of my friends to start to read or watch Death Note... ho ho ho.....
Waiting to see what kind of surprises will be installed in the part 2 of the movie. Going to watch Death Note Anime Epi 4 later... Yippee!!!! *jumping up and down* ^^
PS: Tatsuya Fujiwara (Raito Yagami aka Kira) has really long eyelashes!!!... He looks better in the movie than as compared to the thriller....
As for Ken'ichi Matsuyama (L)looks better in thriller than in the movie (so disappointing, though he looks cute when trying to devour the sweets in "L" style... kekekke
Volume 13
Facts on L according to wikipedia based on the volume 13 pubished on 13 Oct 06 in Japan as follows:
His true birth name is L Lawliet (pronounced 'low-light'), confirming the suspicion of some, based on his drastic difference in appearance compared with the other characters and the little that is actually known of his history: that he is either not full Japanese or is not Japanese at all. His date of birth is Halloween of 1979 (hoho He is OLDER than me!), making him notably older than he appeared to have been, and his date of death is November 5th, 2004. His height and weight are 179cm/50kg (5'10.5"/110lbs.) which would have meant he was severely underweight. His likes and dislikes are listed as sweet-tasting things and socks, respectively.
*yawn* must try to sleep before 1.30 tonite...
