Throwback

It's been a great few days.

I've been on Spring Break since Friday. Took an English midterm, had a sax lesson, then came the fattentrap home. Friday night I went with my brother and Mitch to the jazz competition at Norwalk high. Times have changed. Norwalk HS has gotten a little worse, McMahon has gotten a lot better, so there isn't really a discrepancy anymore. We hadn't been to a jazz competition since we graduated, and watching a bunch of bands play was really funny. We noticed as the judges came up, they said pretty much the same thing every time. If they saw there were like an extra tenor sax or trumpet than usual, they'd always be like "you gotta be careful doubling parts, too much 2nd tenor/too much 3rd trumpet" or some generic stock complaint. The other big one was "watch intonation when playing load. At FF it's harder to be in tune." haha. In the end, we were surprised McMahon didn't place, they seemed great. Probably us being there jinxed it. Afterwards, we went to Taco Bell and met Parshva. Of course it was closed (well the inside) so we got drive thru and then went back to Parshva's house, ate and watched TV.

Saturday I played ultimate frisbee at Fox Run with Mitch, his brothers, Parshva, and a guy we met there named Sergei. Mitch, Parsh, and Sergei vs. the rest of us. We got opppped. Then, we spotted a loose chinging dude on the fence and ripped it off. First time since 7th grade. It of course escalated and we pulled off ten or so. Saturday night I went to my sister and her fiancé's house for his birthday. My sister made a cake and all that. Both sets of parents were there and we just kind of hung out and talked. Then I saw 16 Blocks with Mitch and Parshva. It was a really good movie, mad twists, pretty original. The ending tho...I won't give anything away, but it bore a resemblance to something completely different and I was laughing thinking of the other thing. haha if you see it, let me know.

Sunday my uncle came up for pizza. He helped me plan out some ways to make sets for my upcoming movie. Also, I unveiled "I Can't Believe It's Butter" for my family, who thought it was funny.

Yesterday I went hunting around Wal Mart, TRU, and Heroes Comics for supplies for Maximum Carnage. I ended up buying this Spider-Man skyline playset thing. The back drop should be good for my film. Better than my own paintings of a cityscape at least!

I've been working a little on both a script for Maximum Carnage and an original I may turn in for creative writing, but it's actually been really hard to get work done here. There is so much stuff to do!

And yeah, between chinging dudes, getting mad action figures in the mail everyday/at the store, jazz competition, it's been like a total throwback to middle school/early hs. The more things c the more they s the s?
