... oh, what the hell. It's been a couple months, some things have changed, I didn't touch any of the reverse memes last month, and Sakuraba is actually building up relationships with people already.

HOKAY, canon stuff first.

Sakuraba and Sena don't really interact in canon, but I'm going off of how the manga did the hospital visit. Overall, Sakuraba got a positive impression of Sena then. Deimon's secretary! He brought him fruit! He's not really sure what was up with the note -- mostly, he thinks that what Sena said wasn't what it actually said, and I do think he understands what Sena was trying to do by it, which is why he didn't really react all that much save for that blank stare.

And he was serious when he said he never held that incident during the Deimon-Oujou game against Eyeshield 21. He knows it was his own fault for going on the field, and he's never really blamed Eyeshield for it. I'd say ... Sakuraba is probably as impressed by Eyeshield 21 as most of the other players are, but the player that he's currently chasing after is Shin. And Ikkyuu, to an extent. I'm taking him from right after the Shinryuuji loss and the Nasa Aliens game, so all the incidents with the training camp and Panther haven't happened for him yet.

Which brings us to camp! Sakuraba was happy to see someone he recognized, particularly someone that had been, well, normal to him. At least, Sena's not spouting that "Ace Sakuraba" crap that he hates, heh. As far as he knows, Sena is Deimon's secretary and doesn't really play football, although in his head, he wouldn't put it past Hiruma to drill Sena every now and then. He remembers the hospital visit, anyway, and he appreciated that, so it doesn't bother him to look out for Sena here and there, like with the cabin and whatnot.

Sena's not exactly a friend yet, though, since they haven't really talked much, which is why Sakuraba calls him by his last name. This could very easily change, though! And probably will.

... especially since Sakuraba is convinced that Tomo is going to corrupt him to no end and that he really needs to get the kid a whistle. >:(

Oh good. I wasn't exactly sure at what canon point Sakuraba was supposed to be from since Sena and him only have ONE BIG INTERACTION. At least they can have football emo about how awesome Shin is.

...We'd have a great trio if heaven sent us a Shin ♥.

Yeahhh, I kept meaning to ask you where you pulled Sena from and if you were going by the anime or the manga, since that one big interaction is really different in the anime (blehh). I just figured it would be easiest for me to pull Sakuraba from that point so he can be a drama queen.

I am going to whore so hard for Shin. fjhsdfkjdsf shin pleaaaaase come to camp and constantly break your laptoooooop.

I'm going by the manga & pre-Death March because I thought Sena would be a little more fun to play if he were less... confident? 'Cause then there's more to work with in the "gotta be a better football player" department. I haven't seen anything of the anime minus the first episode. I stopped because I was so heartbroken by Hiruma's voice not being quite what I expected (I wanted it higher-pitched and more maniacal, dammit ;_;)... and I don't really have space for that much show.

Dear God, please send camp a Shin and Hiruma to keep their teammates in line and drive them totally crayzeeee~ DDDD:

Sounds good to me! The anime ... ehh, I stopped after the third episode, then watched things here and there after I read the manga. They took out a lot of stuff (using white font to hide spoilers juuust in case, highlight pls) -- you never see Oujou play Shinryuuji, which really bothered me because I loved that moment when Sena, Monta, and Sakuraba stepped in to save Torakichi from Agon. They also ... okay. In the anime? Sakuraba is ten times the drama queen in that hospital incident ("O I SUK NO U DUN UNDERSTAND NO ONE LIKES ME )))):") and even after Torakichi says his stuff and pleads with him, and they find out he won't be able to walk for a year or two, Sakuraba is still an emo 'tard. And then Sena runs out, dresses up as Eyeshield 21, and comes back in to give this horribly cheesy speech. And it's just. aghhh. That aside? The kick-off with Musashi never happens, so Sena and Monta never make that promise with Musashi before the game with the Nasa Aliens, which is just. whaaaaat. In conclusion, I watched the anime to nab screencaps for icons, and that was about it.

Hiruma would be hard. We've gone through two already -- the first one actually got tossed for being way too god-modey despite multiple warnings, while the second one idled out after a bit. But if we got someone who could balance out Hiruma's moding skills and still pull him off? I would love them forever.

...I need to consult the other mods and figure out when the next camper app date is, and then whore hard for people like Shin and Hiruma. ... and the Mizumachi needs to reapp.
