BAM is ten weeks old today! Well, no, that was when I started writing this. Now he's more than eleven weeks. It is crazy how fast his tiny baby time has gone by. He's growing so fast! Every time we go for a checkup, the doctor seems quite pleased to report that he's still off the charts in height and weight. :) We had some slight trouble with oversupply in the beginning, where he would sound like he was drowning every time he tried to nurse, but I think that's more under control now. He still eats extremely fast, which probably accounts for the spitting up all the time. *shrug* Some days I wonder how he has anything left in his belly - maybe he produces his own spit up from nothing.

We've made it to several LARP events now, with a high rate of success. I'm surprised by how well things have gone. There was the one drive down that took more than 8 hours instead of five or so, but some of that was that was letting SAM play when we stopped. I'm lucky enough to have a mom who's willing to drive all the way to Georgia to babysit - she's just that obsessed with the grandkids. :) No complaints here. Our routine has been for me to nurse Ben and make sure he's happy (all you have to do is look at him and he is filled with joy), then I'll head out to site for 1.5-4 hours. I have to pump a good bit to feel secure, since we don't really know how much Ben's capable of eating if he put his mind to it, but usually he's not very interested in the bottle. I like having it, though, in case he decides he's starving, even though it's not far usually from the group camp to the cottages. It's nice that he's fairly predictable at night, when I don't want my mom to have to be woken up too much. Even at this last event at FDR, where I had basically no cell reception, I was able to time it so that I got back to the cabin before he woke up both times during the first night. It's nice that he likes his Grandmommy so much - I'm hoping that he doesn't revert to how Seth was as he gets older and cry for everyone but me.

What else do I need to update about? SAM is still awesome, though we've been having a bit of frustration getting him to listen to us. Part of it is that he'll get so absorbed pretending or looking at books that you just can't get his attention. Good problem to have. I can't complain too much, because I'm guilty of the same thing. He's very sweet with BAM and has been spending more time talking to him as he gets more responsive, which is great.

I'm sure there was more, but this will never get posted if I don't post it now. :)

bam, sam
