:) In labor with SAM, I never felt particularly inclined to get in the water. I didn't even get in the shower. I think it had a bit to do with not feeling 100% comfortable with someone else's shower, in that case, and also it was winter. But everyone and their sister keeps saying how great it is, so I figure it's worth a try. My midwife even lent me a whole book dedicated to waterbirth. And since it's $100 to use the midwife's pool, I figure getting my own is worth it, especially if I use it in more than one labor. Plus this way I don't have to call the midwife to come over if all I really want is her pool. :) And SAM can play in it. Now let's just hope the floor is strong enough to hold it up! It can go in the basement if not, but then the likelihood of me using it is a good bit lower.
