Kittens!

We were wondering if they'd ever show up. :) It took about half a week longer than I had guessed, but Mama Kitty had four very cute kittens (in the corner of the basement room behind the shelves and boxes) last night. I was thinking it might be the night, she was tearing up the newspaper I had put back there. I put some more down, and made sure her room was all clean, but that was the only indication she gave, no restlessness or anything. The kittens were all dry and fluffy by this morning, and Mama Kitty was back there purring and purring. She still managed to move all the newspaper out of the way, but at least that part of the carpet isn't very visible. :) I stuffed some food and water back there with her (she was starving), and now that I've rearranged it perhaps she won't sit in the water bowl any more.
SAM is very excited about the whole thing. :) Looks like we have one dark/black kitten, two gray stripy ones, and one that's gray on the body and stripy on the rest, like the mama. She's quite thin now, and right now wanting to be petted a lot.
