Her grandfather had been a Prince of sixty three planets once.
He had had a wife, a fiery Dathomiri princess with red hair and grey eyes and a mystical power called the Force. And together, they had ruled the planets with swift and helpful hands.
And together they had a daughter, who looked just like her mother. The family of three was happy, as long as it was the family of three, for any time the Prince's mother was involved, it got sour.
The Prince's wife died one day. His mother's doing. He had stopped loving his wife at some point, or so he thought. But without her, his life felt odd. Even without the shell of the woman she'd become, it was lonely.
His daughter, fiery and a fighter, took the crown from his mother and ruled the planets. She'd fallen in love years ago to a young man who was a famous son of famous people. A Jedi.
They had a daughter. The mother of the Prince tried to kill her, but the baby's father stopped her. He left, vowing to protect the child.
She grew up surrounded by servants, her stuffed animals and her Grandfather, the Prince. Mummy was busy and Daddy was nonexistant. She didn't have one.
She had Grandfather though. And her mother's social secretary (an unwilling babysitter, but he was quite fond of playing hide and seek) and when she could, her mother.
Her father came back. Revealed himself. Took her away, hurt her feelings, made her feel unsafe. Made her cry.
"Jedi Jacen likes hurting people. He scares me."
Then it happens. Grandfather is on Daddy's ship...and Mummy starts crying when they're finally alone (though they're never alone. Gadell hovers in the background as Mummy sinks to her knees on the floor, her hand covering her mouth as she finally cries as she feels the passing of her father).
Allana does not cry. She can't. She stares straight ahead as Gadell asks her if she's okay and she does not answer.
They're in this room when Daddy cries out to Mummy (and Allana can hear it and she shuts her eyes against it) warning them of a threat. The doors are locked, no one allowed in even as the screams echo down the hall.
Allana can feel each life wink out as the virus takes hold of royal blood, killing them.
His life, Daddy's life, is the most painful as it fades. Mummy stops breathing and Gadell holds her hand til she starts again.
They look at the little Princess. She does not look back.
She can't cry. The tears don't come. Maybe she broke.
She walks into the 'fresher to get a cup of water.
