Fresh Air

It's raining outside. My 56-page thesis has been graded and in the history office. I just sent out my 24-page paper on the cultural historiography of the cafe-au-lait to my other professor. Outside of the upper-division version of the AP European History exam tomorrow, my work here is done until mid-January. I leave town either Friday or Saturday, depending on the Stebbinites with whom I'm driving. The windows in the kitchen are open, letting a draft run through the house. Helpful for the bottle of Bollinger I've opened up, the last of three I bought back in November, not so helpful for keeping warm when wearing shorts and a tank top.

Liberation, while awesome, feels decidedly cold.
