FWIW, if you have a TW HDDVR and your hard drive gets FOOBAR, there is a magic system to reset stuff without wiping the data. Sadly, the first person we talked to tonight did not know that, and apparently sent a signal to wipe the hard drive...which didn't work anyway. The special sequence of unplugging and rebooting did, however, fix the problem...but we're still out all of our recordings.

I just don't think I'm meant to see Gone with the Wind. I was watching that today, finally, and was about 1.5-2 hours into the 4 hour recording, but now it's gone. I can't remember what else was on there, but it was all just movies I had recorded. I *did* want to see them, but at least we didn't lose an episode of Lost or anything.

We spent a while trying to remember what-all we had series recordings of. I'm sure we forgot something (note to self: remember to do Lost tomorrow when the guide data goes that far forward!), but we've got at least the basics, including a full Sci-Fi night on Fridays. What, did everyone finally realize that geeks are anti-social and don't go out on Fridays? Seriously, we record at least 4 hours of Sci-Fi shows that night, with some of them overlapping. Oh, wait, I think with Andromeda it's 5 hours.

Brian is not tired, since we went to Third Place for coffee (I got decaf, he got a fully caffeinated cafe au lait) after dinner at NoFo. I'm not either, but I was a lazy bum and slept until a little after 10 today.

[For future reference, the special sequence: unplug unit for 30 seconds to 1 minute. plug back in. when time displays again, hold the power button until it reboots. when time displays again, do not turn the unit on for two minutes.]
