Dance Dance
Sooooo. I'm just gonna throw some thoughts out there at you people.
I want to do an art project for Flipside.
Seeing as how my only decent artsy talent is dance- I want to do something dance related.
This... is a little hard however. I need to figure out where it can be staged. I need to figure out if I can insert a single dance piece (or maybe two) by myself in with another show. I don't think I could draw a decent crowd just by doing a ten minute piece by myself. More over, I just wouldn't want to do that- it wouldn't feel right.
On the flipside, (hardy har har) I could try to make a larger dance production with a group of people. Anybody out there interested in being part of a dance show?
I'm pretty set on theme (okay so waffling between two really)- The first is traditional themes of the Fall from Grace, such as:
Lilith rejecting Adam- independent female.
Eve giving Adam the apple- shunning from the garden.
An angel falling from grace.
A man/woman confessing sins.
The second is The Sins.
So... a dance of laziness- slow movements- very forced effort- for Sloth.
Something like drunken master style kung fu for Gluttony.
Do I really need to explain Lust? Could be one or two people.
One person mimicing the steps of another for Envy.
**shit first got the sins wrong- go me. Greed- not completely sure about.
Wrath would be really fun to do- just anger!
Not so sure about Pride. Haven't really come up with anything I love.
Style of dance doesn't really matter- jazz, modern, eclectic. Whatever.
Although I've had a ton of dance training- I've never really choreographed anything by myself. So who knows if this'll actually happen.
