ALRIGHT TIME TO REPORT!

Thursday shall go down in ML History as awesome.

During the day I lounged, saving my energy for the show. At noon Drew, Eric, and I went out for delicious Firehouse Subs and discussed our plans for the night. Around 5:30 I went to the eye doctor's to pick up my new spectacles (pictures to be included at end of post). My sunglasses STILL weren't ready, which upset me, but at least I got my glasses. As I suspected, my mother hates them, lol. My brother thinks they're cool enough, though he fears people will think I'm a Scene kid. I told him "Dude, nobody will think I'm a Scene kid. I wear wide leg jeans and I wear my ties in a proper manner. Tell me, when was the last time you saw me in a "vintage" t-shirt with rainbows on it?" He then agreed and then noted that I look like Elvis Costello, which is not a bad thing.

Anyway! The night!

We arrived at the club at about 7:30. When I looked up at it I became weak in the knees at it's awesome-ness. The Masquerade is actually a revamped cotton/textile mill from the 1800s. Awesome. Anyway, I got the tour of Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven (the areas of the Masq) plus intros to everybody. They were all like "OMG 1ST TIMER SO CUTE <3" And they all loved my Henry Rollins t-shirt, which made me immensely happy. The concert started at 9ish with Voodoo Velkro on first. They were pretty rockin', but their stage presence was the best. Penny, their black front man dude, really draws the crowd in. Then Bella Morte came on! OH MAN they were amazing. Andy is a great front man and he kept runnin' around that stage like a maniac. And we rocked so hard. Lots of head bangin'. For both shows we were front row, center stage. Afterwards, we took a break and went out to the deck for some fresh air. We ate some free food (yay 4th of July celebration) and chatted with peeps. THEN augh, Blake and Izzy showed up. Fuckers. But we just said "Fuck you guys. We're going back in the main building anyhow." So we left and went back in. Then came the debate- go back to Heaven and see 16Volt or try to sneak me into 80's Night, an 18+ event. Drew went to Chris, a bouncer he's friends with and asked and Chris was like "Pfffh I don't care! She's almost 18, plus she's really cool. Just watch her, make sure she doesn't drink, and don't go advertising that she's 17." That's right. ML went to 80's Night, something she has been dreaming about for almost two years and didn't think she'd get to do till December. It was funny, while dancing, I went to talk to Drew one time and he introduced me to his friend Jesse. And Jesse was like "Happy 18th birthday!" and he gave me a knowing wink. And I was like "lolol ya... >:3" Anyway, I danced like CRAZY! I danced for 2 hours straight. It was a fun set list too. <3 I even got up on the stage. Man, when Sandstorm came on I almost passed out because I danced so hard to it (plus it was the extended dance remix lol). We had to depart at 1:00, but we were exhausted anyway. We stopped and got McDonalds before going home to wrap up the night. <3 It was so awesome. I'm sore now, but obviously it was worth it.

Oh- before we left it was awesome. We were out front and we noticed that Bella was packing up their van and we went to say hi and thank them for their great show. And Andy and the guitarist were like "OMG I REMEMBER YOU TWO YOU WERE ROCKING SO HARD IN THE FRONT ROW THNXU! :DDD" And Andy is really really nice. I got hugs! <3 <3 <3 He's pretty too. I wish I looked like him, lol. And I requested that when they come back in August that they play "Dead Will Walk" and they were like "... That's a good song. We should." So hopefully they will.

Hehehe I finally have one of those 'teenager' stories- I got into a 18+ nightclub when I was 17! HA!

Mmm... My pants still smell like the Masq- sweat, clove cigarettes, musk, and wood... Damn, that is a good smell. *grabs pants and inhales deeply* Ah.. Damn.. Yeah.. Damn... I like that. ... WAIT OH MAN MY HAT SMELLS LIKE IT TOO! *INHALE* OH DAMN YES! (The smell is orgasmic, people.)

Eric's a really cool guy and I enjoy hanging out with him. Hopefully I can see him more often.

And finally, GLASSES PICTURES!

I'll be wearing my hair down a lot more with these. It looks better.
