Peace of Mind
It's been the first time I've had a birthday that I haven't been home, which in its own way was nice but still something that was kind of... different at the same time. I do miss home, I'll admit that much, I'm a big homebody and I do miss my family, as crazy as they drive me at times and despite how much they frustrate me.
But I'm also an adult... sorta, now and I know things can't stay the same forever; even if I'd have had my way and had all the people I want to keep around me in one place (and OHGOD the chaos that would bring, holy freaking shit the mind hurts thinking about it), things would still be different.
It's the first year I've managed to basically dissuade people from giving me things too, which, by the way, is actually pretty awesome. I like this low-key, not a huge deal kind of birthday. It's epic.
I got a shitload of "Happy Birthday"s from people on Senkai Rairin and Divergence, which were definitely my gift and loads of comments from said groups that made me laugh. Savior X is still going to die by my hand, I'll choke him with a pretzel after beating him with a loaf of bread for being five days older than I am.
Apparently my "gift" from
fictiontrent and Kiwi was to be freaking Ninja'd this morning when I got out of the shower and was heading over to unwind before going to sleep. I hate you both. ♥
^_^ But I do like this low key thing, not stressful in the least and am just chillin' with everyone.
I think I'll try and finish this chapter of my solo before people show up/dinner and such.
