Ugh, Chapter ten is equalling all kinds of suck, I'll definitely go back sometime and revise it.... just not now because Sekai needs some recovery time. XD
And I keep breaking livejournal's word allow limit per single entry. *amused*
Orion and Sana stared at Sekai for the longest time after the girl had spoken. Neither of them could really believe the words that had come out of her mouth, much less know how to respond to it. She sat there, much to the hidden amusement of the two she was with, in proper form and with her head bowed. Her hair had fallen over and covered her face from view, unfortunately, that meant that they couldn't see what she was thinking or feeling at the moment.
'They must be angrier with me than I thought... they're not saying anything, they're completely silent.'
She thought to herself, wishing she'd spent more time leveling up than she had checking out the shops and carefully stocking her supplies up. Biting her lip, she broke the silence by repeating what she'd said earlier.
“I'm sorry. If... If I had leveled up just a little bit more, I could have made a difference and no one would have gotten hurt. I'm sorry.”
Orion stared at her in disbelief, running a hand through his hair and restraining the urge to smack her upside the head and yell at her for being an idiot, and being so damn apologetic and guilty sounding that he'd feel like he was kicking a puppy if he actually did yell at her. Grinding his teeth for a moment, he finally reached a point where he could swear he was actually cooled off enough to talk without blowing up at her for trying to take the blame that was supposed to be thrown on him.
“Look. I wasn't completely honest. I was using you, Bahari, and Sana even though I had no idea she was coming in the first place. The whole thing about the Gott Statue having some excellent item is bullshit. If anyone's to blame for what happened, it's me for not warning anyone about what... well, you know.”
'Well, at least he takes ownership for his crap.'
Sana thought to herself, keeping a careful eye out in case he tried any other funny crap she'd have to slaughter him for. She didn't trust him now and really didn't like the fact that he could just blatantly admit that he was using people for whatever reason. Liars were also not high on her likable people list. He wasn't forking up a good reason for lying and manipulating them to do what he wanted them to do or for the reason they were attacked in the first place and practically slaughtered like cattle. Well, she had almost gotten slaughtered like cattle, Bahari... ugh, she didn't even want to think about how that had gone over, something like out of a horror movie she'd seen actually.
“That sounds like a half assed excuse for an explanation and apology to me.”
Sekai's cheeks turned red as she glowered at her friend, embarrassed by the rude and sarcastic tone in her voice as she gave her a rather disappointed look.
“Sana! That was rude, apologize to Orion.”
Orion's eyes narrowed as he watched the tall girl merely turn her head and snub him, wondering why in the hell he'd even bothered sticking around to even offer an explanation if all she was going to do was just insult the hell out of him and drag this crap through the goddamn rocks. He'd been right about her from the beginning, man hating bitch from hell was her class and her personality.
“Wasn't like you were even invited to this in the first place.”
Sana's head turned back towards him as she watched him get to his feet and pick his sword up.
“I'm outta here, I don't have to deal with this crap.”
“Little boys don't have to deal with responsibility but real men do.”
Sekai's hand covered her eyes as she shook her head, willing this to be a part of the unconscious and odd dream she'd had and that she hadn't woken up yet and there would still be silence when she woke up. Why those two weren't getting along bothered her, Sana had seemed to be initially annoyed by Bahari's presence but had learned to accept his... unique way of playing but, she'd never been this openly hostile to anyone else. Neither had Orion, he was being even worse than he usually was when it came to interacting with other people.
“Real women know how to keep their goddamn mouths shut.”
“That's some good advice, why don't you take it? It's not that hard for you is it?”
For cryin' out loud... just fire a spell between the two of them and tell 'em to shut up.
For once, she thought the voice had a pretty darn good idea and decided to take that advice, only noticing that the voice had sounded very tired and faint, more like a whisper than the normal conversational tone she'd become somewhat accustom to hearing. Sorting through the list of scrolls and her own magic spells she'd acquired in some of her equipment, Sekai started to choose one of the Rue based spells when something inside of her told her to use the one above it. Blinking as she found herself confirming the spell, Sekai shrugged and supposed that sometimes the spells chose the caster instead of the other way around. Such an odd game really, almost felt like it was like running in some kind of movie or something.
“Juk Rom!”
Admittedly, she realized she didn't have that much of her strength in magical attack just yet and watched as a kind of pathetic imitation of the brilliant whirlwind that Bahari had sent back in the other room rushed between the two of them and caught at their clothing, ripping them a little more than they had been already and effectively bring the two out of their near-throttling argument. The two of them turned their glares on her, probably not expecting to see the way the green light was fading from her palms and their expressions changing as they realized that she really had fired the spell at them to get their attention.
You've got their attention now, speak up.
'I didn't expect that to work.'
Violence and blowing shit up beneath noses always catches someone's attention.
That wasn't in the least bit comforting to hear inside her mind, she thought to herself with a shake of her head and a silent groan. Hopefully they'd listen to her as she tried to negotiate and find a solution that would be satisfying for all of them. She wanted to find out as much as she could about the apparent connection between Orion and... the fake one who proclaimed to be Orion while still managing not to cross whatever line was there that she needed to be careful about. After all, no one wanted to tell a pushy and overbearing person anything that could be rather personal, at least, not in her very limited person to person experiences anyway.
Her hands lowered themselves and she loosely held her hands together, looking at the ground for the longest time before swallowing hard and glancing at the bemused and irritated faces of her companions that had survived the assault. Somehow... she needed to get through to the both of them and with words, not her magic or her blades, she'd had more than enough fighting for one day thank you very much.
“I... I'm sorry but, you two weren't going to stop if I asked you to and, I couldn't think of another way to get your full and undivided attention.”
Two sets of eyebrows raised as if waiting to hear the rest of whatever she wanted to say while their eyes darted from her to each other, narrowing when their eyes met and their grips tightening on their weapons just in case the other one was stupid enough to try anything while Sekai was talking. Unfortunately for them, the rather exasperated Twin Blade had caught the silent but hostile exchange and put her hands on her hips while feeling her eye start to twitch with irritation of her own. Glaring at the two of them seemed to do little save encourage them to scowl and shoot daggers at each other with their eyes.
“You two are acting like a pair of quarreling lovers, stop it already! Or haven't you both had enough of fighting in this place?!”
A chagrined and disgusted expression came over Sana's face as she shoved Orion away from her and folded her arms over her chest, pointedly looking away from the Heavy Blade. Orion merely glared as he was shoved back a couple inches and turned his back on Sana as well, arms folded across his chest, which was rather difficult to do with a gigantic sword as a weapon mind you and glared at the opposite end of the room. The two seemed so hellbent on ignoring each other that the exasperated young woman threw her hands in the air and gave up for the moment to try and get her own rising agitation under control.
Besides, being exasperated to the point of tears wasn't a good way to get people to take her seriously and Sekai definitely wanted to be taken seriously when it came to this kind of situation. Why did people seem to pick the worst moments to have a personal fight with someone else, she asked herself with a sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose. At this rate, she was going to have a headache and she was going to be so incredibly tense that she wouldn't be able to focus on anything or relax long enough to sleep that night.
Although... she'd have other things on her mind keeping her awake besides worrying about if she'd ever be able to get Sana and Orion to reconcile and settle their differences in a peaceful manner.
...choking as the long, thin wisps of dark...whatever it was reached for her and tried to burrow beneath her skin. Panicking while he moved closer and closer, eyes holding her in place and trapping her where she'd frozen... and with the smile on his face that never touched his eyes and promised everything she'd ever feared would happen and more would be happening there in a matter of time as soon as he got whatever he wanted out of her first.
Orion suddenly frowned when nothing but silence, hanging heavily over the three of them in the large treasure room, filled the air for more than five minutes. He was still seething and wanted nothing more than to grab whatever crap had been in the treasure chest and shove that annoying Blademaster inside before closing the lid, locking it up, throwing the key somewhere or swallowing it and kicking the chest off the highest place he could find. Sana was still in her own little pissy mood but, where in the hell had Sekai go- there she was.
“Oi, you alright?”
He tossed over at her, might as well see if he had another sulking female in the group, though he really hadn't meant to irritate her, just her obnoxiously bitchy friend. Actual concern started to come through when she didn't respond three minutes later, neither had Sana. Were the two in the same room together or something, he wondered before walking over to where the still Twin Blade was standing and frowned as he grew closer to her. She wasn't AFK... something was wrong. Her arms had gone around herself, hands fisted in the pastel fabric of her tunic, shoulders hunched as if she were expecting some kind of blow and her face, now that he bent down a little and craned his neck to see it, was slowly draining of the soft peach she'd usually had.
'What the hell?'
“Oi Sekai, oi, snap out of it! Hey!”
His voice raised in volume, seeing if a louder sound would snap her out of it, a sinking feeling in his stomach that he had an idea of what was happening to her, though why the hell it was so delayed was beyond him. Usually people went into shock immediately after an event, not close to an hour after it. Apparently he was making enough of himself that Sana had reason to come running over, concern on her face as well as she did the same thing, using different words than he did of course, and wound up getting no result either.
“Sekai? Hey, Se-chan, come on now. Are you alright? Sekai!”
Great, if that one didn't quit freaking out, he'd have two useless females on his hand, well... one that looked like she'd been scared stiff and one that was going into hysterics anyways. Shoving Sana out of his way, Orion grabbed Sekai by the shoulders and started to shake her just as Sana noticed and began to say something about the way something in the girl's eyes didn't look quite right.
“H-Hey, Orion look at her ey-”
“Gah!”
Orion seemed to spasm in place for a moment before he shoved the girl away from him, severing the physical contact and snapping the girl out of it at the same time as he stumbled away and looked at his hands. He started to glare up at Sekai when he noticed something on her neck and squinted a little, tapping a few things on his keyboard to zoom in on it and frowned as he returned the camera to normal. Sana was fussing and hovering around her like a mother hen while Sekai was trying to do her best to say she'd spaced off, and couldn't lie to save her goddamn life if it depended on it, he thought to himself grimly and shook his hands off. He didn't know what the hell had caused that kind of a... reaction and had zapped the hell out of him long enough for him to literally take a few points of damage before it had just suddenly stopped as soon as it had started but, what he knew for sure was that whatever that light and... explosion or whatever had happened back there; it hadn't completely removed the marks left behind from the fight.
'Why the hell hasn't Sana noticed that yet? Close as the damn woman is, you'd think she'd see those bruises!'
Sekai had some nasty bruise on her neck, most likely from where she'd been nearly strangled by the shadow controller, he'd be willing to bet they hurt like hell and shit, what about her hand? What the hell was with this damn game anyways?! He usually never gave two shits about the people he partied with and now all of a sudden he was worrying about if some stranger clear in another country was alright and if any lasting damage had been done. Suddenly he felt sick, he needed to quit playing this damn game for a little while and give himself space away from this world where people were acting like the people they only wished they could be.
But he couldn't get that scream and the look on her face out of his head.
There'd obviously been a struggle against the oppressive black armored man who'd once again taken to impersonating him. Blood coated the walls at several points and the cracks between the stones on the floor were still filling up. The source was Bahari, his groan-worthy friend had been killed, no, slaughtered like a pig and was dead, lifeless, no more, whatever other term you could use, he was no longer able to play with the state he was in. That damn Blademaster, Sana, he remembered her name, was crumpled against the wall, leg and arm bent at an unnatural angle while a gaping wound trickled the blood that stained her white shirt scarlet. She wasn't dead, judging by the way she was barely able to breath and the way she'd force herself to blink. And her eyes were still angry, accusing even as she glared past him... oh fuck, he'd thought, hoping against hope that the person he was torturing wasn't who he thought it was.
The scream that shattered the air within his lungs only confirmed it.
The bastard had stomped down on her hand, applying all his weight into the mock attack and probably completely shattering the girl's bones in her hand, thus the scream. He was talking to her as if he wasn't standing on her and causing her pain, that goddamn smile on his face as tears ran down Sekai's cheeks and she tried in vain with one hand to push him off of her. His free foot came in with a deadly speed and connected sharply with the bottom portion of her ribs and stomach, knocking her on to her back and doubled as far as she could in pain...
What the hell had he been thinking? He'd known that bastard liked the traverse the fire fields looking for him and with keywords like he'd come up with? There was no way he'd have passed the chance up. Fuck, he'd really messed this up, Orion thought bitterly to himself and stared down at his blade. What else could he have done? He wasn't anywhere near that son of a bitch's level yet and now he'd just put new victims up for slaughter.
“Shove him and maybe he'll snap out of it.”
Sana's voice broke through his thoughts, amber eyes snapping up to see a rather worried Sekai reaching out to touch his shoulder and get his attention. When his eyes landed on her outstretched hand, she quickly retracted it and looked down, biting her lip a moment before getting the courage to meet his stern but quiet gaze and speaking softly, though with a little bit of a tremble to her voice.
“I.. um... I just wanted,”
She faltered, losing her courage and resolve visible and for some odd reason, Orion found he wasn't irritated with her; just really, really fucking tired after this whole thing and wished she'd either get it out or save the usual 'never mind' and he'd be on his way, most likely to do his best imitation of a corpse for a good long time. He shrugged at her, as if saying it didn't matter and began to walk towards the exit, more than a little impatient to get the hell out, sell some crap he'd picked up in the dungeon and think of what his next moves would be since a wrench had definitely been thrown in plan A.
No sooner had he about reached the exit when she'd found her voice and called after him.
“I wanted you to know that I... I knew that he wasn't Orion.”
He stopped and turned around, incredulous expression on his face as he looked at the silver haired girl standing there with her hands folded in front of her and looking for all the world like she was waiting for him to hit her or something. Her cheeks were red and her eyes shining with something he hadn't seen before in her and her voice was firm even if it shook a little when she spoke and she even physically shook a little, trembling from the effort to keep going no doubt. And keep going she did.
“I knew that because... because the Orion I know would never do such a thing... and despite how he acts... the Orion I know would not kill mindlessly and attack an ally in such a manner even as a joke!”
Sana and Orion stared openly at the flustered girl, noting that during the pauses she'd angrily wiped a few tears away from her face. Any other time and Orion would have started harassing her in his usual manner about being a crybaby but, what the hell had her so completely pissed off that she was to the point of tears about it? So someone had tried to fake being him, big fucking deal right?, it wasn't like it had been successful and pulled off. There shouldn't be be anything to be upset about, save for needing to kick his ass for getting them into that situation in the first place. This was heavy on his mind as he finally managed to connect his brain with his mouth and speak.
“What the hell are you so upset that you're crying over it?”
“I'm not crying! And the question you should be asking is why you aren't more upset that someone tried to smear your name and acted in an honorless manner towards people that he probably knew cared about you and that you were friends with!”
Sana... clearly had never seen her when she was upset about something and had absolutely no idea that her dear friend even had so much of a bit of a temper. Sure she'd seen the girl look a little irritated and pinch the bridge of her nose during said moments, had to be some kind of impulsive habit she'd formed along the time she'd been studying, but... nothing like how completely and utterly furious Sekai was right at that moment. In a way, she kind of liked seeing the more aggressive and stubborn side of her, just another reason for her to get to know her better.
'Though I kinda feel sorry for Orion, he's getting the brunt of her wrath right now because he's acting like he doesn't give a shit that someone tried to take his identity from him. I think that's what's irritating her more than the fact that someone was impersonating him in the first place.'
“I'm pissed as hell but, I'm not gonna cry about it. I'll deal with it my own way, just don't go to any foreboding sounding areas, especially in the Darkness and Fire element fields, that's where he likes to g- hey!”
Orion started to reply and was stopped by the suddenly determined look in the stubborn Twin Blade's eyes.
“No, don't even think about it. Don't go looking to get your ass kicked when you nearly got killed back there. I ain't gonna be there to pull your ass out of the fire!”
“I'm going to fight him to restore your honor since you won't. I'll start looking when I get home from school tomorrow.”
Sana groaned to herself and slapped a hand over her eyes, as she'd thought, the girl wasn't going to just drop the subject. Knowing her and how honest the girl was, she'd do just as she said too, even at her current level she'd go jumping through fields hellbent on finding and challenging the nasty bastard to a fight. Which of course meant she was completely tied up in it, especially because there was no way in any level of Hell known to mankind and to the mind's imagination was she going to let her fight the dude on her own. She'd be damned before she'd let that happen again.
“I'd be a pretty piss poor friend if I let her do that on her own. I hate liars with a passion and that asshole definitely lied to my face and to Se-chan over there. I'm in with her, I'm going to kill that thing with her.”
This was just getting ridiculous, he thought to himself and gritted his teeth, suddenly finding a pink with anger cheeked Sekai right in front of him. He was more than a foot taller than she was and she was still glaring him down, her eyes... wait, what the fuck? Her eyes were changing! Suddenly her back straightened and she looked ready to attack him. Now a bright yellow in color, the girl opened her mouth and spoke with the voice he'd heard twice now.
“And if she has to do that kind of bullshit to get you to take her seriously? I'm going to be royally pissed off and trust me, you don't want me that way. I'll come and slaughter you myself, got it little boy? Now spill the information you have on him, I've seen him before and don't know shit. And be quick about it, she's nearly asleep in her chair and fighting it. And if it's not enough? I'll be pissed anyways.”
The bright color faded from her eyes, leaving the usual color behind as she blinked in confusion and shook her head frowning. She'd been about to give him a piece of her mind and suddenly... she'd fallen asleep again.
'I must not be sleeping enough... and I am tired but, I need to get a little more information out of him. Unless he gives me a promise he won't do it on his own, I'll go and hunt it myself.'
“As I was say-”
“Alright, alright fine. You wanna kick his ass so badly? You'll do it when I'm there, that way I can bail you out. Got it? No going and looking on your own, do I make myself clear?”
Much to his surprise, she had one hell of a cute smile as her entire expression turned to one of relief and of happiness that he'd given in. He ran a hand through his hair and rolled his eyes at the happy look on her face, what the hell was it with his luck and finding intelligent chicks from other countries? Why couldn't there be one powerful bad ass chick who didn't give a damn about anything other than getting to the bottom of a dungeon?
“I'll only say enough to get you up to a slightly higher level to where you are now and that's it, no more pestering me for information unless I offer it up, got that?”
He continued at her nod and the suddenly serious expression on her face.
“His name is Coradon and as you saw back there, he uses and controls the Darkness element. He's able to apparently fuse and summon Wryneck, as we all saw back in the roo- what the hell is that confused look for Sekai? You were there!”
As he'd said, Sekai's expression had changed from serious to confused and shaking her head when he'd mentioned them all being in the same room and Coradon using Wryneck to try and kill them all. Her eyes were puzzled as she tried to remember it and found no such trace of the memory, only of excruciating pain and not being able to breathe because she'd been being choked to death, oh, and kicked in the ribs.
Oh boy...
“I... I'm sorry but, I fainted after he kicked me in the stomach, I don't handle pain very well. I have no idea what happened or who or what Wryneck is.”
Sana and Orion both felt their jaws drop open at the admission. But.. then what in the hell had that whole thing been about then? And what had happened?
“You.”
Coradon had snarled, his classically handsome face that nearly mirrored Orion's own twisting into something completely filled with hatred, disgust and even a little fear as he addressed the... unusually speaking girl in front of him. Orion had never seen Coradon get that pissed off before and he'd ever once seen him go all out berserker rage as he was about to go right at that moment as a matter of fact.
Apparently the reaction amused her greatly as the pressure on her crossed blades seemed to increase by quite an amount. A smile crossed the Twin Blade's face as her body grew impossibly bright, eyes still retaining their vibrant electric yellow color as she smiled at him deviously and shoved back at his sword, the pressure from the blade causing thunder to roar and shake the room with an actual physical sensation, like the people in the room were on the inside of a gigantic gong when it was struck with a mighty force.
“Me.”
Her voice had taken an almost masculine turn as her head leaned back and a single, unintelligible word left her lips and released hell itself in the form of white blinding light and the sound of thunder that should have left them deaf beyond belief. He'd been unable to hear his own voice beneath the sound and blinded by the light, was left with not the slightest goddamn clue about what in the hell had just happened and whether or not the bastard was still in the same room as he was...
Orion remembered the reaction Coradon'd had immediately, how could he not when that son of a bitch was unfortunately connected to him in a way he wished wasn't possible? Not to mention she'd not acted at all like herself when she'd finished up being a light bulb the size and brightness of a bolt of lightning and had acted almost in a flirtatious way towards he and Sana before she'd seemed to blink and had passed out.
No, she hadn't passed out, he thought to himself and looked over at Sana, who nodded to him and looked back at Sekai, eyes darkening as she went back into her own memory and pulled the event in that battle that had really gotten to her.
Shoulders back, posture straight and proper and a proud and assertive raise of her head, the silver haired girl turned to them, looking at them with a rather mischievous and knowing half smile, half smirk on her lips before walking over towards them. The gold-white energy still wrapped around her softly and giving her an oddly... otherworldly look as she put her hands behind her back and tilted her head at them, trying to be cute and succeeding only in looking coy as she batted her eyelashes at the two of them and spoke.
“Gotta do much better than that if you wanna find what you're looking for in this world. If you know what I mean.”
She'd said it in a half-singing and half playful yet serious tone, spinning around to make sure he'd actually left before turning back to them and dropping another wink and even had the nerve to blow both of them a kiss before her eyes closed and suddenly Sekai had come back...
“Sekai, you don't remember anything of that incident?”
Sana asked gently, trying not to alarm the troubled looking girl as she wondered exactly what in the hell was going on herself. The World was just a game... right? There was probably a reasonable explanation for this, the girl probably got hacked by some joker or something like that and couldn't see the monitor because they'd wiped it or something like that.
The lavender clad girl shook her head and frowned in concentration as she tried to remember just where exactly she'd probably passed out, as embarrassing as that was to admit she'd done. It was a game after all, who on earth fainted because of another jerk of a player in a video game? She felt foolish, weak and utterly ridiculous for having done so, they might not want to play with her anymore because she'd most likely forgotten to remember that this was only a game.
“The last thing I remember is being worried that he was going to kill you all and that I'd never hurt so much in my entire life before...”
... he'd leaped into the air and swung his sword down with all of his might. Snapping out the name of the Fire element booster, a red aura covered his entire body and blade, not unlike the black one covering his target, and yelled the name of his attack with all the fury he could summon up and probably more than he'd thought possible because of how utterly furious he must be, she thought. Why did she have to be so weak and so useless in this situation?!
'I can't do this, I don't have anything left and I can't help them when they need it the most!'
'What was that? I felt like... like there was a pulse all of a sudden.'
'There it was again, what's going on?'
'Who or what are you?! What are you doing to me?!”
Rest now little one.
We will handle this one.
Don't worry, they're on your side, it's ass kickin' time!
'Help them...'
The voice had suddenly chimed in as one at her plea.
We will.
And she'd felt her eyes close, suddenly feeling devoid of any kind of strength at all as she allowed herself to fall asleep for just a moment. She'd be back up in just a moment, she was just resting her eyes a minute and regaining her focus to help with the healing and back up attacks for this battle. They could win this yet, they couldn't give up hope yet!
And then suddenly, she'd opened her eyes to see Sana, blood splattered and her clothes, especially her shirt, tattered and torn up by a fight, and Orion looking as shell shocked as Sana had, as well as incredulous before she'd felt the complete weight of the world pressing down on her entire body and her head going completely light and dizzy while her legs seemed to have turned into wet noodles on her and dropped her where she stood.
Sekai finished explaining all but the voices she'd heard, there was no way they needed or could even believe such a silly and impossible thing. Sana was the first to ask her a question, looking a little more curious and less concerned than she had before.
“So you don't remember that odd riddle you gave us?”
Blank stare, she didn't like riddles too much actually so, why would she give her friends a riddle when she was sleeping? Wait, she spoke while sleeping?! Oh god, she thought to herself embarrassed and covered her face with her hands, resisting the urge to scream and go hide herself under her bed for about thirty years before coming out. How could she have developed such an unladylike and embarrassing habit such as talking in her sleep?
“No... I don't. I'm sorry for confusing you... I must not be getting enough sleep or... maybe I'm coming down with a cold or something. I'm probably falling asleep and, well, talking while I sleep. I'm sorry!”
Orion frowned and repeated the riddle to her, wanting to see if it jogged anything in her memory or if... as she'd said, she was sleep talking. He'd heard of that before and had a great deal of fun fucking with his brother's head while he slept and chattered at him in his sleep. Got some good blackmail material too, he thought with a grin, but he'd never had a riddle before.
“Six ruled by one,
It seeks to break the balance,
False one must be destroyed,
Six must gather and fight as One,
Boundaries must break and repair,
All because of Twilight.”
Sekai blinked and frowned at him, tilting her head to the side slightly as she tried to figure out just what he was talking about. A concerned expression touched her eyes as she spoke to Orion and tried to figure out just what he was talking about.
“Umm... if that's supposed to be poetry of some kind, isn't it supposed to rhyme or flow together easier? It sounds kind of cryptic and choppy to me. That is, well, um, I'm sure you worked hard on making it that way.”
“You dumbass, that's the freakin' riddle you gave us!”
“I am not a-a you know!”
“You're not a what? Make some damn sense girl!”
“That word you called me! I'm not repeating it, it's vulgar and rude!”
“Dumbass?”
“Yes! I am not one of those.”
“Like hell, you're the most confusing girl known to mankind!”
“Shut up both of you.”
Sana interrupted the little argument with little trouble and one hell of a headache. Orion had been having fun despite his irritation and now had a new goal of trying to get her say something vulgar and rude. Well, the rudest thing he'd heard out of her mouth was “jerk” and that was aimed towards him. He'd hear her or make her curse yet, he was good at getting people to swear. Might be some kind of talent even! The Blademaster sighed and rubbed her temples, looking at both of them and rolling her eyes as Orion looked about ready to play the roll of the pain in the ass antagonist again and cut him short.
“Look, it's fun and all but, Sekai and I have school in the morning. We need sleep and we can all bicker, argue and discuss things later alright?”
Orion and Sekai nodded and the three bade each other good-bye and warped out of the field.
Sekai frowned at her computer screen, changing her clothing as she idly wondered just what in the world was going on... and why she suddenly wanted sleep more than anything else in the world.
'The World is so amazing... but, is there something more to it that I'm not getting?'
