The Obligatory Shoujo-Ai Episode
It started out like any other afternoon on Radiant Garden. Riku was just on his way back to 7th Heaven from another intense training session of sparring with Terra. In fact, his neck was still stiff and he was feeling sore all over even after Terra had been kind enough to heal him after using him as a human punching bag for his gratuitously oversized Keyblade. Riku never stood a chance because once Terra started being able to predict where he would reappear while using his Dark Teleport it was all over. Between his already brutal normal attacks and even more painful counter attacks it was very literally like going up against a living mountain. Riku might have been glad, at first, that Terra was finally taking him a little more seriously as an opponent, but with the protests from his aching body he was very nearly starting to regret goading him into it.
When he finally arrived back at 7th Heaven he was relieved to find it quiet. This meant that Sora and Ventus still weren't back from their own training session. Otherwise, there would have been a terrible racket from the two of them rough housing in the shower, possibly dragging Vanitas into it along with them because that was the sort of thing that seemed to happen on an almost daily basis between the three of them. Sometimes it would continue after Terra returned as well and then the damage to the shower room could be even worse with water somehow getting splashed onto the ceiling. For now at least, this didn't appear to be one of those days.
Riku found it more concerning, however, when he arrived upstairs and heard giggling coming from the vicinity of his and Sora's room. He was already headed in that direction to grab a change of clothes for after his shower, but he stopped outside the door because he recognized the giggling as belonging to Kairi. He knew it was his and Sora's room too, because he had to walk past the girl's room on the way there ever since they started staying at 7th Heaven. Obviously, this meant that Kairi and Xion were already back from their training session at Merlin's, but why the heck were they in his and Sora's room? And what was with the giggling?
Nevertheless, it was still his room, even if he did share it with Sora, so Riku felt no immediate shame in barging in until he actually saw what was happening. Apparently Namine had come from the mansion in Twilight Town for a visit and the source of the giggling Riku had been hearing came from her and Kairi fooling around on Sora's bed, which was the bottom bunk underneath Riku's own, with Xion looking on in concerned amusement at the other two girls. Naturally, at the precise instant that the door opened for Riku to let himself into the room was when Kairi, ever the devious one of the three, decided to drag Namine down for a kiss that very immediately caused Riku's face to light up in a bright red blush just by witnessing it and Xion was every bit as red in the face and embarrassed as he was.
"What the heck is going on in here?!" Riku stared incredulously at the two girls on Sora's bed. He was less concerned with Xion as she was clearly just an innocent victim of Kairi's mischief at that exact moment, although she really shouldn't have been in his and Sora's room either.
Kairi broke the kiss and grinned at him. Namine at least had the decency to look slightly embarrassed by the situation, but Kairi showed no shame at all.
"Oh, hey Riku, we didn't know you were back already," Kairi's smile betrayed the fact that she must have timed that kiss deliberately when she heard Riku about to open the door.
Riku's embarrassed expression became slightly unimpressed. "You're a bad liar, Kairi."
"And Sora isn't with you," Kairi pouted slightly.
Riku wasn't stupid. He could put two and two together. That whole scene wasn't meant for him to be the one walking in on. It was intended for Sora.
"That's too bad, I would have liked to be able to draw his reaction," Namine was entirely too amused by the prospect and Riku felt himself steadily becoming annoyed with the antics of both girls.
"Sorry Riku, I tried to stop them, but they wouldn't listen," Xion was still off to the side looking very, very embarrassed.
"Don't worry, this isn't your fault Xion," Riku let out a frustrated sigh and decided to simply ignore the other two girls as he headed to the dresser to grab a change of clothes so he could get to that shower he had been planning on when he first got there. He directed one last baleful glare toward Kairi and Namine before he was about to exit the room. "I expect you all to be out of here by the time I get back from the shower, preferably before Sora and Ventus see you like this."
"See who, like what?" Sora was there outside the door and Ventus was right there with him.
Riku nearly face-planted at the timing of their arrival. "Just... don't go in there right now..."
"Why not?" Sora stared at him in total obliviousness of the situation. "I thought I heard Kairi and Namine... and Xion too. What are you trying to hide from me?"
"It can't be anything too bad, right?" Ventus chimed in. Really now, just how clueless can you be?
But it was too late to stop them. The door was still wide open behind Riku and Sora was easily able to duck under his arm to slip past him.
"Hey Kairi... Namine... Xion..." Sora was understandably confused as his gaze went to Kairi and Namine in particular given that the pair was still in a rather compromising position on his bed. He had much the same reaction as Riku, although instead of being annoyed he became very visibly flustered and embarrassed. "Uh... what's going on? And why are the two of you in here on my bed?"
"I told you not to go in..." Riku gave a defeated sigh.
"We were just waiting for you to get back," Kairi smiled at Sora and then very deliberately pulled Namine down for another kiss. Sora blushed brightly with steam erupting from his ears as he stumbled awkwardly, accidentally knocking into Xion which caused her to topple onto the bed with the other two girls. Xion squeaked and managed to look even more embarrassed than before as she struggled in futility to get back on her feet, thanks in part to the fact that Kairi had apparently caught her by the wrist.
Still standing out in the hallway, Ventus's eyes went wide and he just kind of stood there gaping.
"Okay, which one of you broke him this time?" Terra had also arrived back at 7th Heaven and he was clearly concerned as he noticed Ven's condition. He peered into the room in question and didn't have to look long to figure out what had happened. Fortunately, Ventus was small and lightweight enough that all Terra had to do was lift him over his shoulder to carry him off somewhere else to try to snap him out of it. "Come on Ven, you've been training all morning, haven't you? That means you probably need to take a shower too."
Axel had also emerged from his own room to investigate the commotion, although his reaction was hardly helpful to the situation. "Way to go Xion! You'll have to fill Roxas and me in on the details when you get done later, got it memorized?"
"What?" Xion made another undignified squeaking noise as she recommenced struggling to free herself from the other two girls on Sora's bed. "Axel, it isn't like that! You're not really going to tell Roxas about this are you?!"
Axel shot an amused smirk over Riku's shoulder. "Come on, you know I can't keep anything from him. You'd better think fast about what you're going to tell him though." He whistled mischievously to himself as he wandered away to excuse himself downstairs, most likely to acquisition some alcohol from the tavern area.
"Wouldn't you like to join us, Sora?" Kairi wasn't making the situation any better as she tried to bid him closer.
"Okay, that's enough," Riku turned back around and grabbed Sora, slinging the smaller boy over his shoulder. "You girls do what you want, but he's coming with me."
Kairi finally let go of Xion as Riku left carrying Sora away to the shower room. They probably wouldn't be getting back for a while considering Terra and Ventus were already in there and there was probably going to be quite a lot of rough housing once Ven managed to snap out of it. Xion very immediately ran off downstairs to try to explain herself to Axel, although she probably wasn't going to have too much luck with that considering he was already drinking before she caught up to him.
"Well, that was fun, but what do we do now?" Kairi sounded a little bit bored now that everyone else had left the room.
"I don't know about you, but I need to get back to our room so I can start drawing that look that was on Sora's face when he saw us," Namine sounded entirely too amused by this.
"Oh yeah, you have to show me once you're finished," Kairi seemed amused now too. "We should totally do this again sometime!"
