Your descriptions have always been beautiful and this is no exception ;A; I love how you used colors because that really helped enforce some of the feelings in your story.
Lakes are black and brown, he remembers, like the soil beneath them. Shallow.
I really loved the way you described the lake throughout the fic too and the role it plays. How it seems pretty on the surface but underneath it's just a dark void.
