the absence of pain

the absence of pain is not a notion to be trifled with nor a matter to exalt, it simply is as much as a man understands his existence is merely a thread strung against the loom of the world, a fleck of pigment in the dye of the thread, a fiber that the universe builds upon, he is because he believes he is and it's the only sanctity keeping him ( Read more... )

Here is what I want to say; it really does not matter what pairing you write of, this can pass off as original fiction and still it will work. Your color imagery is so strong, utilizing all the palettes, of vibrance and of vividness and of muted and dampened hues, each to describe that moment and I think you capture it perfectly. By choosing to write the present before the past you foreshadowed the sad moment that the story will reach a corner to, and by the time you write about the two boys in love I really cannot be bothered by who is Yixing or who is Jongdae, because how they separate is what causes the color to disappear and that is the theme of your fic for me, this color play, and to be very honest, and what makes this entire fic not become too depressing or skewed off an end. The entire thing just come off beautiful for me despite the fact that I wonder what happened to the girl for her to move in with the main guy (I really want to use the one who survived, but whether your dead character is a metaphorical or a literal one remain a question) and my sympathy for both of them. :'(

oh, wow, wow, wow, thank you so much! ;_____; ♥ i tried my best to use a lot of color imagery to help convey what the characters were feeling/going through, so i'm glad you liked it!
the main guy (Jongdae) actually moves in with the girl (Krystal) after the boy's (Yixing) death because he has nowhere else to go. and the boy's death, i think, is more metaphorical in the sense that he doesn't really die per say; rather, the person that Jongdae knew disappeared. i hope that clears things up a little?

thank you so, so much for reading and leaving this beautiful comment for me! it means so much to me, really ;____;
