As far as the band goes, I do expect some sort of respect from them. And they've given it to us. Do I think they owe that and more to us? No. In fact, I think we should consider ourselves lucky that they do all that they do for us. Because, it's a hell of a lot. Sure, a lot of it is part of "keeping" the fans. But, believe it or not they also do things out of the kindness of their hearts because they are genuinely appreciative of us. I know artists who don't even do half the things that Hanson does for their fans.
When it comes to their family though...I don't think they're obligated to be respectful to us. The money they have is something we willingly gave them in return for music, shows, merchandise, etc. It's a fair trade. It's a fair business. It doesn't mean they have to always be accommodating and nice to us. They're human. They have off days too. And if I were them I'd probably be a little bitchy myself to fans.
What's most important I think is something I know a lot of fans are doing. We shouldn't be throwing "but we gave you everything you have" in their faces every time we don't get our way or when they're a little mean to us. You don't see Hanson throwing "but we gave you the music" in our faces just because we're disrespectful to them. And it goes far beyond disrespect in some cases. They put up with A LOT where some fans are concerned.
We all sort of give and take to get what we want out of each other. And I think people should start realizing that because that's how it is and it's not going to change. That's was a business is.
And I hope you don't think I'm the biggest bitch ever, haha. I just didn't like how you kept deleting my posts. It was like you were saying my opinion didn't matter and that yours was the only right one. And I'm pretty sure that wasn't your intention, but that's how I felt. And then I got really defensive, lol. So, I'm sorry if I came off like a complete bitch and if I upset you or anything. Peaceful debates are what I like :-D.
