It discusses how they get around the limitations of being off the grid. While they don't have electricity run to their home it talks about how they will retrofit a blender with a pneumatic motor so that Mom can have the convenience of a blender and how they are debating whether or not they should be allowed to use cell phones since they don't require wires coming to the house.
