Best Photos Of 2008
A number of sites have started putting up their best photos of 2008 lists.
One of the better ones is located here.
The photo that struck me the most on there was this one.
Those are modern Masai warriors in battle with the Kalenjin tribe over a land dispute. in March of this year.
The significant part of the picture that isn't quite as obvious from this smaller version but is obvious on the main page is that they are all using the bow and arrow as their main weapon. I had no idea that the bow was still used as a military weapon by any society that dresses in modern clothing. Fascinating.
