i apparently did nothing in all of november? i ran 3 times, and my right hamstring still hurts. shouldn't it be better after a month of rest? i need to get running again before i morph into a whale and lose all my strength. i've been playing hockey on monday nights from 9-10pm after my class gets out, which has been fun, but i need to be working out more than once a week.
teaching is going well. i wish i had my own classroom so i could run it how i wanted to run it from the very beginning. it's going to be hard to be under the thumb of another teacher starting in january. perhaps this summer (starting in may) i'll be a long-term sub at beekman center or some other special education school.
i thought about, and i suppose i'm still thinking about, taking the GRE which i would need if i were to go to grad school soon. but the thought of NOT taking any classes sounds so wonderful, especially if i get to be a REAL teacher next year.
it rained/snowed/iced during the night, so tons of schools were closed. unfortunately, interns don't go to schools on fridays; we have classes instead. fortunately, our teachers recognized that hardly anyone goes to classes when it's 60 degrees and sunny out, so no one would be there on a day like this, so they cancelled both our classes for the day. i woke up at the regular time, did some reading, then napped from 9am-11am. it was great!
i'm supposed to be going to kellen and kevin and eric's "prohibition" party in grand rapids tonight, but if the roads are still icky i don't think i'll want to make the trek. i hope the roads get cleared up so i can go, i missed their last party and i haven't seen them in months!
