"Mistress, display unto me those who have earned thy ire," said Vanity, completing her section of the incantation.

"Zat vont be necezzary my dear Vfanity, ve are ze vonz zat she zo foolishly vishes to be consumed," said Hänsel.

Vanity gaped, this really wasn't in the job description, and frankly, those two terrified her.

"Mistress, I strongly advise that you reconsider, these two... they are beyond even my abilities," even as Vanity said this, half of the adventuring party turned to look at Christis, with all the suprise that discovering your friend was an infernalist entails. Unfortunately, the half continued with their attack... and decapitated Hänsel.

"See they aren't that tough, why'd you have trouble with 'em Christis? Gettin' weak in yer old age?" called over Armba, the Dragon-slayer who'd performed the decapitation.

"Oh I don't know, maybe ze fact zat I can consume soulz by touching a body, maybe ze fact zat I'm not even dead," said the decapitated head of Hänsel. Pretty much everyone turned to look at the head that should be dead. As they watched, the head turned black, and then to a darkness beyond black, which hurt to look at. Finally, Hänsel's head oozed across air back into it's usual place, and it smiled.
